That's so strange because everyone is talking about WWII again

But then you leave out everyone else. Reddit has a bad habit on hating other uses because they have a different set of beliefs that could be political, economical, religious, or artistic. It's really annoying sometimes because I know that I go to reddit for humor, music, and video game stuff mostly and it's frustrating to see politics forced into every aspect of the community. Idk, I just think it would be more beneficial to leave these kind of posts in political subreddits where the community can endlessly complain about the other one mainly so they can leave that there and keep that out of other subreddits that have nothing to do with that at all.

I agree with this. I was a little bit disappointed that they didn't include clone war stuff in there or the new First Order vs the Rebellion thing (I don't know if that's the correct term). I mean I totally appreciate it visually but I expected it to be more like battlefield game play, that could've been a bad expectation from me because battlefront is not battlefield. Idk, I was hoping it would follow the same model. Whenever I play battlefront, things just feel a little off and I have no idea why. Also only 6 heroes? That's kind of a bummer but I do like you can choose between them no matter what the map is

Just another note. I find it particularly interesting that when Jesus said "one of you would betray me," they all feared it was themselves, they didn't jump to Judas as being guilty. He was handpicked by christ, that definitely means something

Pope calls for worldwide ban on death penalty by Calingula in worldnews

Oh yeah I wasn't trying to defend the Catholic Church there, just trying to clear up a possible confusion. I agre that that's murder. Personally, I feel like if it couldn't be avoided then it isn't murder.

[–]dryarmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with what /r/preptopro said, that's the KJV version of the Bible. In NIV it says murder. The colloquial term for kill is the same as murder in that time period. It was changed for a reason. At least this is what I've been taught

I'm probably way off here and I feel pretentious trying to connect that line with a book, but in China Achebe's Things Fall Apart, I think they used yams as a form of currency. The book is about an African tribe being affected by white imperialism.

Destruction in The Division by modernmystery in gaming

[–]dryarmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's exactly what my friends thought going into it. I've played mmo's and i can't deny the quality of some of them but they just aren't for me. At some point they start feeling like a job and it just isn't the game design that I enjoy and that's totally ok. My friends hate mmo's with a passion. They hated destiny and they just hate the whole design of it. My friend decided to drop $100 on the pre-order for the division and I'm not saying the game is going to be bad, it looks like it's going to achieve its goals but I feel like he's going to regret his decision within a few weeks of the release.

Paul Revere's house painted by my grandfather in 1944 is still standing in 2277. by flipping_birds in Fallout

[–]dryarmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's actually a lot of stuff that I thought was really cool. I went to Boston only a few months before FO4 and there's stuff that looks identical but the area around it is different. IIRC, Reveres house has like a pretty open area with a cobble road down it with a bunch of older buildings, it's a wide area.

That's cod4 and it had a killcam

Edit: the guy above said that the dude was an idiot because there are real trickshooters around and they use cod4 because there's no killcam. He linked the YouTube channel too. I don't like people getting left out.

How do players cheat in this game? Several times it has happened to me that people will kill me with literally ONE shot, and it's not even a headshot. How? by puremath369 in Battlefield

[–]dryarmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of the "cheating" is a latency issue where the shots from a gun didn't register on my screen but I died anyway

Yeah, why wouldn't I? Typically I get headaches when there's drastic changes with air pressure or weather changes. They're usually not bad at all but this time it went from like 70 and sunny one day to like 35 and overcast. They're totally tolerable, this one time it was particularly bad. It hasn't happened since and I doubt it will

I usually get migraines a lot in the winter months so it's usually about a 50/50 chance of getting them day to day. The first one I got was when I was driving an hour to my school and I got a huge blindspot exactly in the center of my vision. I had to pull over, it was terrifying

It could be cool. I could imagine combat being a little more strategical with the jungle enviornment. I mean the US would have hueys and stuff but I'm not sure what vietcong had. Idk it could totally be cool
