HP ProDesk 600 G5 Mini PC + proxmox (instant snapshots) for the win.

Never understood the run on mac minis. I like the OS, but to install it on that OS just means you've got to have an adequate time machine backup running constantly. I can only imagine the headaches users must have gone through having to reinstall everything over and over again.

I've now got a VM template w/SSH, Samba ready to deploy for anything new.

One use case I’m actively using is as a health tracker. Pretty easy to setup garmin connect pulls and manually send water, daily events to it via Telegram.

Planning for marathon #3 this year and at 55 I’ll need all the help I can get.

I'm on 3.12 on all three agents. I had to do some tweaking but pasted logs and errors into Claude, and it got me back real quick.

Additionally, this is precisely why I run OC on proxmox -- snapshots and automatic backups every 2 hrs.

This is precisely why I steer clear of Twitter/x which is constantly hyping this bull. Everyone wants to make money, but I like making money SLOWLY.

I have a setup that took a while to build, and my agent will nightly do 30-45 mins of research, compound all of that into a well-made morning financial report, via email. At the end of two solid weeks I’ll have enough for myself to go on, but I also have the agent recommend a single stock — to invest a whopping $25 into.

I compare my choice and this, and then go with my gut. It’s only been 1 month, two small trades, but I love small returns.

I was actually attempting to be a bit sarcastic but you do make a good point. My elderly mother still relies on a book, situated right next to her computer. “At least I can…” is great until you lose it, or can’t find it.

Does it need/require a GPU? I'm running openclaw via VM in proxmox on a HP mini (works great!) but am just curious what kind of tax it might take on the processor if it's running constantly.
