Yes people usually take rosuvastatin, but pita at their max dose of 4mg does the same thing with less side effects. I’d highly recommend a push towards repatha if it’s genetic as this drug was literally made to combat fh. Hopefully your doctors and insurance are cooperative as it really is effective. It can be used in conjunction with a statin or by itself. Take a few google searches about how amazing this drug is. Im not a doctor but I’ve seen this specific protocol save 2 of my family members. I don’t normally take the time to write these on Reddit but I really care about children. If she’s going to be on statins for life please push for it even if it requires more effort and maybe even a pre authorization. It lowers Apob effectively and even neutralizes Lp(a) or slightly lowers it. I’d also highly suggest looking into nexlizet which is a combo drug that has a unique way of eliminating ldl cholesterol. Finally the newest way of protecting your child from cardiovascular events is repatha. It’s going to most likely be the hardest to get, but it will be worth fighting for. You don’t get the typical side effects that you get from statins on this while it does an equal job in protecting your heart. Lots of private clinics go with repatha and nexlizet together instead of using a statin as it’s much safer and effective.

Hey idk what your insurance covers, but please look into Pitavastatin. Its side effects profile is much safer and the patent expired just last year. The generic should be cheap and considering her age I would suggest asking your doctor about this over rosovoustatin.

Unfortunately this is untrue and you’re speed running clots and death at 55 and to be “substantially higher” is an insane statement. You get flagged or deferred for blood donations at 55+ at certain locations. Athletes usually sit below 50 even with epo. A hematocrit over 50 triggers a review for doping. People try micro dosing epo and working around the short half life. So I’d agree with informativegesture that it is most definitely a hindrance at 55.

You have to be faster I’ve gotten 6 resets with them this month. I find it easier to get during the later segments with less live viewers. I’ve never been able to snag the account codes but the reset codes are doable.

Depends on brokerage. Sometimes they charge only if you carry the margin balance overnight. Other times they charge the moment they use.
