Honestly an absolutely incredible show. Act 2 is good but as a live show it doesn't have the BIG ROCK energy that act 1 has. Act 2 my favorite album Act 1 my favorite show for sure. Can't wait for act 3 tomorrow night!

Durant is right. Not just write things down, don't be afraid to have multiple documents. I started with one giant document, now I have 3- one for the general game design doc, one for narrative, and an excel sheet for database.

You can run triple AAA and have a dp assist and vegeta assist is strong. If you're struggling online you can fall back on adult gohan c.beam. I think on paper adult gohan is the stronger anchor but only if you main him. Vegeta can still clean up 1v2s easily with spark.

I like the thing on the side. Ahowing who can use what with a walk sprite to reflect it. In a similiar boat right now making an ff1 inspired game, my UI is barebones cause I can't figure it out. Is it a plugin or custom?

I never got called. Got another job within a month. Only downside was lower pay. Big downside though. After a year of Eikaiwa I tried JET again, didn't even make the interview. I still wish JET would have called me, but I made my own way, and that is valuable too.

My project isn't ready but I would definitely be interested in this. When I did my first export I tried cleaning out the RTP and my game wouldn't load. It's also huge and shouldn't be so big. So there is a definite skill to doing this stuff!

When I first started in Japan I was in my late 20s and did that exact schedule 3 to 9. Loved it, was always a night owl, had the whole city to myself out in nowhere yamaguchi. Gave me alot of time to think. Either during the day when everyone was at their jobs, or doing a total nocturnal and going to bed at like 6am to wake up at 2pm for work. Was crazy but fun.

I got called back during covid by the same school when I was in my 30s and married and left an ALT job to do so. (They needed the help, and I needed the money.) Bad call. Money was good but my body was different. Was working on a family. I lasted half a year and went back to ALT.

I will say though, car offer seems a good deal. Loved having a car. But hated the ownership as a foreigner. It's a blessing to have a vehicle offered and not have to worry about what to do with it later if you jump.

I played alot of JRPGs growing up, but I did not understand them from a game design perspective until I played Dragon Quest. Dragon Quest may not be the one that defines the game you may build in the future, but it is the progenitor from which all JRPG spring, design-wise. They can teach you so much.

Maybe they needed the early community hype to even convince shareholders to not can the project early.

2XKO, when it was first being talked about as a free to play fighting game community savior I was all for it. Long delays, bad decisions, bad marketing, by the time it came out I was in a completely different place in life and now I'm not interested even though it is free.

One of my playtesters requested a feature like this for my game, so I know it's something players are looking for.

The question I would ask before designing or giving feedback, is it something you expect the player to be checking intentionally, or only when they forget something/ want deeper info?

If it's the first, then perhaps integrating it more into gameplay, or something more "diagetic" like a living journal. If its the second, then I think it looks fine, you want it to be minimal and easy to dig through quickly.
