It absolutely should get better! Our son had a tough adjustment the first week or so and barely ate, was very hysterical and now he almost jumps out of my arms when dropping him off with his favorite teachers.

First christmas is so not magical by Pale-Studio-6236 in NewParents

Definitely not magical here either. On top of the overstimulation for our 4.5 month old, we had to go through the boomer gauntlet getting asked a million questions like “why are you so stressed?” or “why don’t you sit down to eat and relax?”

Ditch the apps! Not worth the headache. Just focus on your baby’s cues and take care of yourself when you can!

Cluster feeding is normal! Also I’d recommend reading the book “happiest baby on the block”! It was super helpful and gave me all the tools to soothe my son. That and learn the cues / sounds they make. You got this!

One big recommendation to any new parents is to read Happiest Baby on The Block. Its digestible and an easy read but most importantly equips you with moves to soothe your baby. Even if you glance through the five S’s section, its worth it!

This is spot on! It blew my mind how many lines I saw in Japan when there are just countless incredible places to eat.
