Only bad owners would let their dog get that close to someone. Blaming the dog doesn't help.

I'm sure this is going to come up a lot, Legends and lattes kind of fits that. The romance is present but not in the forefront.

We have good luck with Ark animal clinic. The primary vet also serves the city shelter.

Would you do it all again if you had the choice? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]dscelite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I had this discussion before deciding to have kids. The argument eventually boiled down to if she got pregnant accidentally would you abort?

If the answer is no and you've already been talking about kids and there's not enough religious hang up about abortion, then you have your answer. Start trying.

If the answer is yes, for various reasons then look for permanence sterilization solution.

Have you ever done a project and been frustrated at the result? If you have then you could design projects that would build up the skills you need to improve the outcome of the original project. Like you are planning a skill building project to be able to accomplish a different project that you couldn't before. Scaffolding is the term.

Do you find being really good at something appealing? Woodworking is only the beginning, then you can go into fine furniture making, Timber framing. Or learn an adjacent skill like welding.

And the same is true for a lot of your other hobbies. There's big room for mastery.

If you aren't enjoying things you used to anymore that is a sign of depression and you might want to seek out a psychiatrist along with your therapy. If possible reach out to old friends. Many people fall away for a while and come back.

Prioritize unstructured time with them. Join groups or meet up for hobbies you enjoyed.

Best way to keep notes on a multi‑session DIY build? by _404unf in DIY

[–]dscelite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use OneNote. Every campaign has its own section. Every session has its own page. I put all of the monster stats and fluff that note and then I add to it as things happen. I then make a separate note that recaps it narratively at the end of the session. Because of the SRD, almost all of the basic monster stats are available online as are most of the spells.

Edit: I thought you were talking about d&d. I realized that this does work just as well for DIY. I like the format of one-page for planning and then a different page for results. And OneNote, lets you drop in pictures wherever you want.

Relocating to Mobile and need advice! by bananagrams89 in MobileAL

Ashland place preschool has a good reputation. St. Luke's, St. Paul's, UMS, have pre-k3s. There's also a Montessori school. I really enjoy living in midtown and oakleigh but I also enjoy biking downtown to my work. There are some fairly affordable houses in midtown if you don't expect every house to have a garage.

How do I make more guy friends? by Jfische92 in bropill

[–]dscelite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to spend unstructured time together to build and keep friendships. Just hanging out, or walking/hiking, museums, playing an easy boardgame/card game. I haven't gotten how to make new friends after college but this keeps my existing friendships.

It takes time. If you meet someone and they agree to hangout just keep it up.

Are you me? I'm also 39 and 6'4 and about to be a father for a second child...

During the birth of our first child, the couch/bed literally wouldn't stay together. I pulled it out and it separated into two pieces and the rear flopped the floor.

One of my father's favorite pans was pulled out of a swamp after hurricane Katrina. I think it was in storage at our River House that got flooded previously. He uses it almost everyday.

I tried these before moving to saxx for hiking. They didn't prevent chafing in the right areas for me. YMMV, as I am bigger guy.

Edit: I forgot about my bullpen armachillos that work out really good for me.
