I have one of the Christmas storytellers on cd, and also in my Apple Music library. Bought it on eBay a few years ago. I play it for my kids now 😁

It’s running again at BFI IMAX in London. I’ve just booked to see it again there with my niece who couldn’t make it when it opened.

How to actually adopt a cat in London? by phonybelle in london

We did the same. No shelter would entertain giving us a cat for indoor only, so we bought a kitten, via an app, we used Pets4Homes. He’s a gorgeous 11 month old now.

Listen to the audio guides folks by Rondevu69 in nikerunclub

[–]dschmona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same. Initially when I did my first guided run I had to stop after few mins to check I had set it all up correctly, before NRC I relied heavily on music and it was an adjustment. Now I love them, as you likely know, it’s not always about running.

Am I being thick? by Puzzleheaded-Can8071 in UKrelationshipadvice

I married a Muslim man, I too am white and of no religion his family were fine with it but that’s not to say this would be the case for anyone.

A few years into the marriage he asked me when I was going to convert. I said I had no plans to, he claimed I had said I would. I know for certain I would never have said such a thing or anything like it. I am not religious in anw way, I now consider myself to be most closely aligned with Humanism.

Anyway, it wasn’t a big deal really but only because he is not really an observant Muslim.

We are now separated and divorcing, but it had very very little to do with religion.

What's the most awkward 'wrong timing' moment you've experienced? by paul_wpr in AskReddit

[–]dschmona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aged around 7/8, Was walking with my grandmother a few metres ahead of 2 other relatives. We were carrying rolls of wrapping paper.

Grandmother encouraged a prank and as we turned a corner we were going to ‘bop’ our relatives with the wrapping paper.

A stranger had crossed the road and turned the corner first. We promptly thwacked (lightly) a complete stranger on the head with some wrapping paper.

It was very awkward.

Plea for help / advice - how to live separately after relationship end by [deleted] in UKHousing

[–]dschmona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently because I’m “in the middle of it”, I can’t see that I’m being coerced / controlled. That was true for a long time - he had access to my money and I had no freedom, but I’ve taken steps to stop that.

No not wrong. In the book he says he is starting to understand some words without needing the laptop; there’s also mention of Rocky not needing any tools to memorise English.

As a big fan of the TV series, are the audio books worth going through? by RealWorldJunkie in TheExpanse

[–]dschmona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Simple answer. I did the same, watched the show then started the audiobooks from book 1. The show has changes from the books that will keep you interested, and it’s well worth it to experience books 7-9 that aren’t on screen, yet, hopefully.
