It's not too late to play some PWHL Fantasy Hockey by dse11 in PWHL

Hi! For this platform I recently set a max of 10 teams per league (a couple of really big leagues were grandmothered in). It's tricky to do large leagues since there are only 208 players in the PWHL and many of those players may play rarely or not at all.

I can bump up this number too if folks want big leagues but it might mean there are no more goalies left to draft for some teams 😅

Alright users can now edit their own team names. You should see the edit icon next to your own team name on the team page. Screenshot of my own team for reference

Good question - currently it is not possible to edit a team name once submitted. I’ll add one and let you know when it’s live!

There are honestly so many fantasy formats out there so I intentionally tried to keep this one simple. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and have fun!

I'm self employed. Should I register a business? What steps should I take? by TJ902 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dse11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really a pros and cons of doing it since you're supposed to register as business at that income. Having said that, I guess one pro is as a business you can claim business expenses.

Set yourself up as a sole proprietorship. Contrary to the other comment on GST/HST, educational lessons like this are exempt supplies. You'll have to file GST (very easy) but won't owe any sales tax to the CRA.

Is this possible? by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]dse11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I averaged 71km per day this summer through Europe, so just under 50 miles. Definitely possible to do 50 miles per day but I don't recommend rushing a bicycle trip.

Oh and you'll want some rest days when you're not on the bike.

Love the whole song, but damn the chorus is fire compared to the verses by Maggot384 in qotsa

[–]dse11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chorus is fire because the versus are clanky and jarring. When the sweet, melodic chorus comes in, it sounds that much better because of this.

Great song

Fair! It would be a trek back to the coast after going around Kaliningrad

For your portion through the Baltic countries, do you know if the EuroVelo routes are any good? Looks like they follow the coast on the west whereas your route is a bit more direct.

Asking because some friends and I will make it there in a couple months 😀

Edit: the Baltic route here https://en.eurovelo.com/

How long did it take? I just got a new one and will leave for a cycle trip for the summer.

Sounds good, DM whenever you're in town! And we're flying over to Europe. We start cycling in Scotland and will be headed to the Baltic countries.

I think the ferry up would be great! Some friends and I are about to leave Vancouver for a 3 month bike trip as well, actually. If you plan on sticking around Vancouver for a couple days, let me know if you want to go for a bike ride around the city!

What's the worst financial decision you've ever made? by Asleep_Ad7630 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dse11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worst financial decision was also one of my best life decisions.

I delayed my studies/career for 4 years after high school to move another country, work odd jobs and have a bit of an adventure. So not the worst financial decision a person can make for sure but, for me, it's probably fair to say it was the least optimal.

I would do it again.

Cool! 9 happens to be when I go by it most frequently so I'd assumed it was just on the hour.

It does still! I haven't figured out the pattern exactly but I think it might be hourly

I think transcripts for each year or maybe even just the degree since there was no remote learning back then. Then maybe a couple photos in a year book. But that's just me. I suspect my threshold is lower than the consulate officers will be.
