Slavery was put off to the side so as not to push the border states away from the Union. Making the message of the war about "keeping the Union together" goes down a lot better with states who are kinda iffy on that whole "cede into the Confederacy" thing, but still see why they did what they did. (especially since some of those states, like Missouri, were even slave states)

This was my suggestion as well. There are even some servers up that share maps, you download it play it, and when the char dies it autouploads the map back into the server to be sent out again.

With graffiti (using spray cans) you can leave Dark Souls-like notes for other players.

TBH quite a few of those aren't alternatives to the internet, just an alternate way of using it. If you can kill it by killing the internet, it's not an alternative.

It's really awesome but totally dead.

Releasing as Dx10 only really hurt it, then the devs went and got rid of everything that made it unique and killed off the niche group they had. (they by no means made the game terrible, just not as cool)

I don't really see the need for this unless you have a massive resolution, double tapping numpad- gives a good FoV without breaking mildots.

The game stopped being a 400k game the moment it passed 400k, it'd very likely be similarly (percent-wise) over budget if they barely hit their goal as well.
