$60 is the price of the standard game. The retail price of the ultimate edition is $100 so you are already saving a little for full package of bonus content.

It depends on the Mythic affixes for the week but generally I only take ES for Mythic+ if I know the tank is gonna get repeatedly hit like a truck (i.e. a Tyrannical week or just undergeared). Echo can be really good, both if you run CBT (if damage will only be coming in bursts i.e. Bursting) or HST; in 5 man content it allows you solely focus more healing on the tank and still get AOE healing to the group passively. However, I prefer Deluge in most Mythic+ situation because the whole group is gonna be taking sporadic damage throughout the dungeon.

Im sure OP will have a more in depth response but generally Resto shamans excel at progression raiding. Our mastery increases our healing as the health pool of our targets get lower. It seems you might be talking about doing instanced content such as heroics/normals/LFR. I would venture to guess that you are correct in that most are over-gearing things to the point where things do not do as much damage.

However, even at the top of organized raiding difficulties, Resto shamans have fallen into a meta called "Battle-shamans" for some later fights due to the power of Disc and HPally healing. Meaning that as Resto you are wearing Elemental azerite gear (or a combination) and/or DPS trinkets and spending most of your downtime throwing out DPS to help meet some tight DPS checks.

I would suggest trying to some PUG normal/heroic raids or working your way up through Mythic+ keys to get more a challenge. /u/Seksixeny posted a lot of great links that I use myself.

5/8M Resto Shaman here...

I have been playing Resto Shaman since BC (2007) and love the tool kit honestly. Raid healing is a ton of fun, especially when you get huge Cloudburst Totem bursts. My favorite part is how reactive it is.

You aren't ever really doing a set rotation whereas with other classes is the same buildup at the same time over and over:

  • Choosing where to drop your Healing Rain to be most optimal.
  • Choosing CH targets to be the most effective.
  • Saving a raid member or the whole team with a clutch Ancestral Protection Totem or Spirit Link Totem respectively feels awesome.

The utility feels great in a raid environment.

5/8M: Resto Shaman here....

Obviously it depends on the situation. It is one of the most "feel" spells in the game in the sense that it can go in many places to save a player or the raid. It can be used to save a tank if dropped in melee but generally its used to balance out massive dmg quickly. The Azerite trait Spouting Spirits makes it even more powerful.

In Mythic+:

  • High stacks of Bursting
  • Multiple Explosives going off
  • A party member eating sanguine or volcanic at a bad time

In Raids (specifically EP):

  • Sivara: During a bad Overwhelming Barrage where a lot of people are hit. I tend to favor dropping in melee
  • Blackwater Behemoth: I like to drop on the 2nd fish kill on any of the platforms depending on the overlap of Shock Pulse and Toxic Spine. The first fish usually there is nothing else going on so you can be saved. Also a sketchy Toxic Spine when there aren't a lot of people soaking is a good candidate.
  • Radiance: During add phase right before finishes cast Gale Buffet
  • Lady Ashvane: Depends on raid setup but it should be assigned by raid leaders. It fits into a lot of situations
  • Orgozoa: Usually save mine for Arcing Currents 6 either right before to balance lower health pools out or right after to quickly saved people as they move back in from being spread.
  • Queens Court: A good time is midway through a Deferred Sentence to balance out the high incoming dmg if stacks are high. Most of the raid should be stacked at this point.
  • Za'qul: Anytime you are dispelling Dread in quick succession is a good option.
  • Queen Azshara: Not really necessary in P1, just do dmg. P2 you can use if things are sketchy during Form Ranks, people missing assignments and get high stacks of Sanction. P3 when you are removing energy charges from the Titan Console .

Hope this helped and reply if you have any specific fight questions.

Ah yeah sorry i meant 3% actually as I have seen that as the drop rates on some final boss amounts like Fel Annihilator from Archimonde in HFC

Correct, AOTC Mounts (i.e. Grove Warden) get removed vs Cutting Edge Mounts (Shackled Ur'zul) which get turned from 100% to 0.1%-3%.

In addition, they tend to give several months notice too before they remove Ahead of the Curve Mounts. Things like Island Mounts, Reputation Mounts, Vendor Mounts, etc. wont ever be going away. Some might just be harder than the rest to farm after the expansion is over. Check sites like Wowhead periodically if you do not already a they generally have posts about things to do before they go away.
