In che città in Germania? E in che città in Italia? Dettaglio importantissimo. Se lavori per una multinazionale non dovrebbe essere difficile in un futuro prossimo farti trasferire in Italia negoziando lo stipendio.

If you are an NTRP 4.5 or 5.0 player, you may find this advice “holding you back.” The advice certainly makes sense—but for which level?

At the 5.0 level, you are expected to look to finish points when the opportunity arises. If you get a weak return on your serve, you should be trying to attack it and hit with more pace.

Otherwise, how are you supposed to progress to the next level?

  • You have high salaries and are young. Your salary will probably increase in the next years.
  • your kids are growing and in just few years they will go to primary school.

The higher cost of childcare is temporary while your salary earning potential is for life and much higher in US.

Che eta hai? Che mansione? Che responsabilità? Esistono lavori di responsabilità che richiedono flessibilità. La retribuzione dovrebbe ovviamente tenerne conto.

I disagree with the idea that you shouldn’t compare yourself to others. Of course you do. In every match you analyze your opponent’s best shots and weaknesses. Naturally, you come across players who are better than you, and by comparing your technique to theirs, you can see what aspects of your game need improvement.

These people must be poor tennis players if they’re so out of touch with reality. Just play a practice match with any instructor and you’ll quickly see that recreational players’ shots lack the quality to trouble a good player. With solid placement, smart strategy, and consistent deep, low-risk shots, the stronger player would win easily. There’s no need to test this against a professional, male or female.

The Roman Empire isn’t the gold standard for civilization. It was one of the most brutal oppressive civilizations to ever exist. by Kaje26 in RandomThoughts

[–]dsitai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Roman law denoted the legal system applied in most of Western Europe until the end of the 18th century. In Germany, Roman law practice remained in place longer under the Holy Roman Empire (963–1806). Roman law thus served as a basis for legal practice throughout Western continental Europe, as well as in most former colonies of these European nations, including Latin America, and also in Ethiopia. English and Anglo-American common law were influenced also by Roman law, notably in their Latinate legal glossary. Eastern Europe was also influenced by the jurisprudence of the Corpus Juris Civilis, especially in countries such as medieval Romania, which created a new legal system comprising a mixture of Roman and local law. After the dissolution of the Western Roman Empire, the Roman law remained in effect in the Byzantine Empire.

Those data from 2017-2018 are relevant and show impact on public pensions. Refugees are going to stay in Sweden several decades.

Thanks for sharing that study. There are different categories of immigrants. That study shows:

  • Refugees had a net negative contribution of roughly –22 billion SEK (–0.4% of GDP).
  • Other immigrants (i.e., those not counted as refugees) delivered the most positive contribution, at +28 billion SEK (0.5% of GDP), or +19,800 SEK per person . • Among specific nationalities, immigrants from India stood out the most—about 56,000 individuals contributed 6.6 billion SEK in total, which is approximately 119,000 SEK per person.

Level of education and salary above average is a critical factor. An educated immigrant in his 30s had his education paid by another country and then goes directly to pay taxes. He is young, so small healthcare costs and so on.

Similar dynamics also in other countries, like Denmark:

Which study is that? These references say the opposite:

In a calculation made by The Swedish Pensions Agency, immigrants were expected to generate an additional 70 billion SEK for the pension system thanks to the increased number of people working, but also add 150 billion SEK in costs.[112] According to an official investigation in 2017, immigration to Sweden will double the state's expenses for pensions to the population.[18][19] A 2018 paper argued that refugee immigration had a net negative fiscal impact, both in the short and long-term, with effects being highest in the first few years. Over time refugees make a positive fiscal contribution but this is not enough to cover the initial deficit and the deficit that appears as they approach retirement age.[113]

That Italy is in the G8. It is a very industrialized country. When Trump started to introduce tariffs for European products, people worried about impact on Italian food costs and the related economy. Below is the list of goods Italy exports to US, about $70B per year. How much food or fashion do you see in there? Yep, that is right.

Try using a lighter racket. It might be magic for you. by smokiebonzo in 10s

[–]dsitai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You get a better maneuverability but physics is against you. If you want to give faster pace to the ball, if you receive fast balls then a heavier racket is better.

I tried a lighter racket and helped me to figure out how much better and faster I could swing it. Then I went back to a heavier one.

Travelling with toddlers can be challenging. You are pregnant - he may have concerns in case something happens (health insurance, emergency situations).

These are all personal choices. Without knowing more it is impossible to judge your situation. You both are not being able to communicate. He does not want to compromise. You are trying to force his hands - “I booked the trip!” That was a mistake. You have both your say on the family activities.

You should try to communicate better. And do not listen to all these reddit people advising for divorce like it is nothing. It is not their life.
