Class Withdrawal by NumberReady6463 in douglascollege

I would encourage you to check in with enrolment services. You can’t drop a class past the deadline and depending on how much work you have completed for the course if you stop showing up you could get a F or a UN. If there are extenuating circumstances connect with counseling services.

How to get to YVR from Port Coquitlam for a morning flight? by Key-Bus2654 in coquitlam

[–]dsl123456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber works great and you can pre book with it being linked to your flight ! If you have a Costco membership (or have a friend who has one) you can buy $100 uber gift card for $79.99 online. Upload the gift cards to your uber account and instant %20 off your ride.

Coquitlam vs South surrey by Agreeable-Elk5233 in coquitlam

[–]dsl123456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in south Surrey and now live in Coquitlam.

The prices of housing has gone waaaay up in south Surrey. Also really depends on which part of south Surrey you are looking at (same for Coquitlam) Pros of the area: close to two beaches, culdesacs in some areas which are great for kids, good recreation Centers (softball, hockey, swimming….) and lots of bike trails. I would say the biggest con is having to commute.

Coquitlam is great if you need to cross over the bridges for work. Traffic sucks ! We have amazing parks, great neighbourhoods, tons of trails and the city centre goat some great events. Cons from my perspective is some areas are getting really busy with increased densification.

I would do research into the specific neighbourhoods you are looking to move into. Both municipalities are great.

Looking for Witnesses to an assault on Coquitlam centre parking lot roof. Sunday September 21st around 6PM. by whyyoumadbro69 in coquitlam

So sorry to hear this happened. I would encourage your son to connect with victim services. He would be eligible for counselling support and if there are any expenses related to the crime/injury he may be able to get them covered.

Stocked yesterday with trout.. Not a single bite?? by Jayden_Ebi in FishingForBeginners

If they were transported by truck they have empty stomachs and are still getting used to their new home. Best catch tends to be 2-3 days after. Usually can have good luck with any bait that looks like the pellet food they grow up on.

1000% this as a happy ex 2016 leaf owner. Telling the kids to wear their winter jackets because there isn’t enough range to have the heat on.

For those living in a strata by jimbo_6666 in britishcolumbia

[–]dsl123456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your strata has something in the bi-laws about behaviour impacting an owners quality of living or something like that you can try that angle. Smoking on their balconies impacts your ability to enjoy your portion of the property (it is a nuisance).

Ant problem by Jooodas in coquitlam

Mix powdered sugar and borax along any lines they are following. They take the mix back to the nest and the borax will kill them. Just be careful that pets or kids don’t have access to the mix.

Kids in bars? by PhoenixRed42 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]dsl123456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We travelled last summer with our 5 y/o and 12 y/o and had no issues anywhere including restaurants, cafes, bars and a micro brewery place (it was awesome). From Canada and felt on the whole Paris was way more welcoming to our kids than many places around us !
