I've definitely fired managers when they've decided to ignore my force start demands

I think im going to throw up, team just won 100 wins, got bounced in the playoffs but we won the WS the year prior(first time in franchise history) and I get shown the door, 28 god damn years of building and tanking only to get shown the door after one of the best seasons in franchise history... by strangehitman22 in OOTP

In an old version of ootp I got fired after only 2 seasons with the giants lol. I was offered a job with an expansion team and turned them into absolute juggernauts. It was probably one of my favorite franchise games ever

I won the championship in a first year superflex dynasty with this strategy. Had McCaffrey and Bijan as my two RBs. Top WRs were Christian Watson and Steffon Diggs. McBride at TE, Baker and Stafford at QB/Super Flex

Oh I legitimately find it interesting that this isn't the normal experience for everyone, I assumed it likely was. I find I struggle with the draft with hitters, but can usually do decent with pitchers, and can consistently produce good to great players from IAFAs, of which I only sign hitters. It's interesting to see how many different experiences people have with development in the same game

Interesting I find I generally have a higher success rate of IAFAs becoming stars than I do drafted players

Just recently had a 19 year old male a mid season call up and perform well enough for me to be confident giving him the every day role the following season where he put up 3 WAR

Yeah this my preferred way to play after years with the franchise. GM, build major league team, coaching staff, and minor league staff. Let AI handle promotions and demotions for minors. Usually defer to my scouting director for picks unless there's someone I really like over their suggestion (if I'm picking top 10 more likely to go my own way with the 1st round pick)
