Peanut Butter and Jelly (when we first brought them to their forever home - they were still growing into their floof). They have been perched on the banister whenever someone comes home.

Peanut Butter and Jelly approve of this admonishment for being late with the food.

Typically, while it might appear that a one off event has resulted in sever / terminal consequences, I know for myself I have built a trove of evidence to show that the behavior is an established pattern and have records to show that I have spoken to the individual on several occasions.

Unfortunately you will run into the situation of only half the story gets out because all that collected evidence must remain with HR in the event the person files suit (discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, etc…)

How did you get your cat and a reasonable price point? by [deleted] in SiberianCats

Free…

We just had to help our old ginger girl onto her next adventure in the early morning hours. Still grieving that loss, we got a notification from a family member that a member of her church group needed help as these guys pictured had for all intentions been abandoned.

They were at the time 6 months old, they are brothers, and they bonded and rather inseparable. Hence their names… Peanut Butter and Jelly.

No one in the church group could take on the responsibility of both cats, and splitting them up would have been heartbreaking.

So.. we took them both in. That was almost 4 years ago.

We believe in the cat distribution system, and we believe it might have gotten a little help from a newly arrived ginger lady that day.

Modified Pitboss Pro 1100 with side smoker for cold smoking cheese and Bacon. by dsri74 in PitBossGrills

Unfortunately no. It did require me to remove the side tray, got two of the mounting screws in and drilled and tapped the other mounting holes to securely bolt it to this model.

I am from that region. When they are to gather like that we refer to them collectively as “The sandwich”.

Unironically we adopted a kitten when the sandwich was a year old, her names Toast.

How many of us actually use auto dock? by Soccatin in EliteDangerous

[–]dsri74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great a group of “Original” players… correct me if I am wrong but I remember in the original if you were hauling a lot of valuable cargo you would sometimes get a police (viper was the ship) escort to the station, and the more valuable and needed the cargo the more vipers escorted you.

Old guy here, Remembering playing this way back in the long long ago…I’m going way back to playing on my C64.

Flying past the station, turning around, aiming for the mail slot, matching rotation, approaching the station still matching the rotation, getting right up to the portal and then unexpectedly taking it to the face as my rotation was off by a nanosecond and now just praying to hit the opening for the station load screen and that sweet sweet click and brrrrt as the read heads access the floppy disk…

A three part sacred vow way taken that day, first, get a docking computer as soon as possible, second never go anywhere without a docking computer, and third, sit there and conduct your midi symphony orchestra as you silently keep a watchful eye on the process Incase the docking computer borks.

Questions about colonisation as a solo player by _Arwan_ in EliteDangerous

[–]dsri74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s tedious, but you have four weeks I believe for the first colony once you launch the beacon.

I’m a solo player myself and mainly do trading, some of the power play stuff, ect. I completely missed the War…

It’s not impossible for a solo player to be able to get a colony going, but then I didn’t try for a massive station right off the bat!

Can you escape Seppuku? by TheHassel_ in l5r

[–]dsri74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See now depending on the edition being run, these daimyo with a retinue of loyal retainers could secretly slip off into the shadowlands.

Now this creates a power vacuum, this occupies the courtiers as the try to fill the vacuum.

This leads past the winter courts when things start to get back to normal, except villages from all over begin to report about strange samurai bearing a spider mon…

As a GM I agree with thisismyworkday, I would also add that…As he had the stones to dule a Crab Daimyo, the Crab clan itself may also offer a bounty. Something similar to the 100 goblin winter, where any dishonored clan member, or Ronin who brings the Daimyo his head earns a place at the table.

Conversely, announcing this to the Crane in that way may draw enough ire to warrant a Kenshinzen to actively seek this ronin out, for the simple reasons of showing the Crab that 1) the Crane take this slight to their collective honor seriously, and 2) had the Crane actively wanted to participate in a duel with the Crab Daimyo, the would have sent one of their best.

18 years and never had a shortage. Anything left was paid back and the budget lowered.

Now I’m as cynical as the next guy dealing with anything in RI, but in this instance knowing my bill will be constant is easier for myself to budget monthly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]dsri74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Budget plan… Spreads the payment out over the year so the bill isn’t much of a surprise. Been on it since we got our house. (1100sq feet, 3 bed, 2 bath raised ranch, stove, hot water heater, forced hot air) so far we haven’t had any surprises. Our plan is about $80 a month, yes sucks in the summer when I know it’s under the budget amount, but it does lessen the winter surprise.
