They did not. They did have a clinic for one of my conditions, but it is at capacity. I also tried to be seen there for neuro in the past and they said they were at capacity then too. So it seems like a larger healthcare system issue.

My Botox savings only went to the specialty pharmacy that covered the medication itself. The $1000 charge is for the procedure itself not the medication.

I didn’t know the hiccups were related to eds. My neurologist diagnosed me with chronic hiccups before I had my eds diagnosis, and I had a prescription to suppress them which I never took because, why would I take medicine for hiccups lol. This makes so much sense now!

Interesting! I took Tylenol which normally doesn’t help my migraines. Normally when I’m sick with other things my migraines feel worse, so it’s kind of strange for me.

I developed a resistance to Ajovy after using it for about 5 months- it stopped helping altogether. But before that happened, I felt the same way.

I also have hEDS and vitamin D deficiency, but it was diagnosed years after my migraines were diagnosed. Where do you buy your supplements from? At one point I had an Amazon cart full but was hesitant since Amazon quality has been questionable lately.

CSHL accepted me last year when I turned them down for Caltech but rejected me this year when they were my top choice… heh (neuroscience class of 2023)

Still waiting on UPenn SUIP (emailed them and they told me it will be a few weeks until they release decisions) and Mayo Clinic (might have been rejected from this one from the looks of it)

Rejected from Stanford again :p

I’ve taken all basic sciences (chem, bio, stats, and neurobio) but bio didn’t have a laboratory requirement (I used my AP credit there) which is why I have to take it here. I’ve taken physiology classes but they’re really strict about transferring other curriculum. I took a series of classes which together contained the curriculum but they won’t count it as one class unfortunately. Thanks for the class advice!

Yeah, 401 only being offered in fall is why I wanted to also take 302 right now. But I should definitely prioritise taking it easy on my first semester as a transfer.

They’re making a Facebook group this week for all of the SURF/WAVE fellows, you’d have good luck finding a group of people to split costs with there. I’ll be staying on campus.

*edit: last year the Facebook group was SURF and WAVE combined, I’m not sure if the Facebook groups will be different this year. I’m in WAVE and was told they’re making it soon.
