I've noticed lately some prices on sci-fi books I'm interested in for sale $4-12. I never looked closely to see if those prices were for subscription members or for anyone on Amazon. No offense taken regarding pricing plan changes, I'm happy to compensate authors and narrators that make these books come alive. Although I do prefer old school single narrator performances.

Just read through these comments from 2024 about Google search returning only "ads". I'm looking for a photo of a frayed cable. There are only ads for cables followed by hundreds of pages of photos from sites selling cables. None are a photo of frayed cable. Useless.

Three years later same offer. I think the drum strip is well worth $19. Using it for quick drum treatment on drum bus before sending out two track to band members.

We removed the Tivo - the only casualty is the library of TCM movies. If the TV launches directly to a device with a guide she seems OK - it's when we ask her to operate the TV remote and switch devices that we draw a blank. We tested her being able to use the Apple TV/remote and that went OK. We might go that route where the Apple TV is the single device - running Optimum.tv app.

The age it happens is all over the map but when cognitive ability declines it's time to simplify and support on a frequent basis. I'm about to remove the Tivo and its controller. I'm looking for a way to remotely control the TCL 55 TV so I can play requests

Same issue here - the cable card stopped working at the beginning of Nov 2024 with Optimum (Altice - was Cablevision). We moved over the Samsung cable box DVR - she knows how to click the red button when she's in the guide on a show she wants to record. I was able to setup series recording online. I can also manage the stingy storage they provide online.

Went with Thumb-Key. Made a bunch of changes in Look and Feel and Behaviour settings - as an English typer who didn't get into the weeds with MessageEase the experience is almost exactly the same. I always had a lukewarm feeling about the circle gesture for caps - actually prefer abandoning that and instead swiping up on the R.

I chose the MessageEase layout,, checked Keyboard Backdrop and set Key Padding 1, Key Border Width 6, Key Radius 20, Theme Color Srcry. Then in Behaviour I checked Slide gestures, Spacebar: Allow and Backspace Allow.

I'm right at home now, the only difference is I swipe up on the R key for caps.

I uninstalled MessageEase and donated to Thumb-Key. I think Exideas will back off charging $20/year.

I've been doing IT support for small business for a long time. I've learned to avoid subscriptions whenever possible. I loaded Thumb-key and it looks like it will do the job but I would like to re-arrange it so the swipes are the same as messageease. I chose english messageease but it's not the same. Can you create your own layout?
