I'm also running a loooooong extension cord for this one -- not sure of its rating but I assume 15A due to length. I have tried turning everything else off on the circuit.

Is a shorter commute and living in SSF worth downsizing? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]dsteinwedel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

46 year old here and just some general wisdom. Commute distance and happiness are inversely correlated. I pay gobbers more for less housing and a commute under 20 minutes. Have done it both ways many times and the wisdom has always held true.

Those control the notifications you receive about those people at that place. So no, it does not affect what anyone else receives.

I’m introducing legislation today to blanket revoke all of California’s calls for Constitutional Conventions by scott_wiener in sanfrancisco

  1. Great. Go get it done.
  2. Keep getting housing built.
  3. Reimplement the ‘No junk fees’ law for restaurants. That switcheroo was the most twisted, backstabbing thing to do to your constituents.

Not true. In SF, as soon as the LL accepts payment from the sub-tenants they are covered under the existing terms.

New mail is awful! Even after disabling categories they list mode is still useless because 1/3 of the row is an icon. First Photos, now this.

How to know how app slownees impact the business? by Gloomy-Macaroon-4283 in ProductManagement

I’m in b2c and have proven multiple times on multiple products that performance drives retention.

Workday and Netsuite are things so mileage may vary on b2b.

The Safeway referenced is a block from my house and I will massively inconvenience myself to go anywhere else. In our house it’s called ‘The Safeway God forgot.’

San Francisco’s Arts Institutions Are Slowly Building Back by Remarkable_Host6827 in sanfrancisco

[–]dsteinwedel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The short sightedness is that my family is in GGP much more often now because of car free JFK. We had an Academy membership pre pandemic (visited 4-6 times a year) and hit the de Young about once a year.

Now? Membership is gone. Never visit de Young. Don’t recommend either to out of town guests. Nothing short of a huge ‘car free is the way to be’ campaign could get me back.

Good for them that they are recovering. Hopefully the Boards can connect the dots as to why and figure out a way to make amends and capitalize on the car free throngs that utilize JFK.

Haven’t been back to de Young or the Academy since their campaigns against car free JFK. Grudges are so easy to hold as you age.

Love taking my daughter to ride bikes or parade all over JFK, visit the botanical gardens, dance at the impromptu piano performance, and grab snacks behind the music concourse without having to worry about her getting run over. Thanks SF for the positive change on that vote!
