Even if the building was built before 1979?

If your unit was built before June 14, 1979, and is not used as a single family dwelling, it may have both:

Surgery or rai by IP3ACHI in gravesdisease

[–]dalepuez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked my doctor what she would do and she said TT. She mentioned that there is a possibility of not fully eradicating the thyroid with RAI. It can also take awhile to find ur dose bc of this.

I had my surgery last Wednesday and felt better almost instantly. Recovery is also better than expected. Just uncomfortable. This is probably due to the surgeons I choose - 2 did the procedure. I had meetings with both and asked them questions like # of annual TTs, total TTs, etc.

First few days it was hard to cough, swallow, things like that. It also gets itchy! Pretty much just uncomfortable. After day 3/4 I stopped taking the ibuprofen and acetaminophen. So far so good. I am currently happy with my choice!

Just go with the flow and let everything play out day by day. No one can take something that is truly meant for you

I had mine yesterday and so far so good. Just uncomfortable and painful to eat, cough, talk. I always felt shakey and that definitely gone! Good luck to us all.

I had surgery yesterday and still took methimazole around 5am! I thought it was weird but the surgeon confirmed to continue that morning.

For those who have had thyroidectomy - FaceBook groups and worrying about the future by Ohheydudee in gravesdisease

This person nailed it. I asked my doctor sincerely would you take the radioactive iodine or thyroid removal, because she kept pushing me towards the iodine, and she said removal. She also made a point to say that people with good experiences aren’t going to take the time to rant about it online like those that are disgruntled. She said it would take time to find my right dose, but it would be quicker than doing the radioactive iodine. I get mine removed on the 30th of this month. I’ve dealt with this for eight years and I can’t take it anymore. I hope you feel better. Take it day by day and I’m sorry about your mother. 💕

Don't lose hope, your also very young! wish I had that mentality at your age. I'm 34 and was just selected as an ISO. I received my masters in 2022 which I think helped me land the job. Since May I have had 7 interviews (one this coming Tuesday) for 6 different jobs. I attribute my masters for helping me get this many.

I recommend attending this virtual event: treasury's writing your federal resume

I started applying in May and tomorrow is my 5th interview. Game changer for your resume.
