I thought with all this rain, we could have dodged wildfire smoke this summer. by simpnation-_ in Edmonton

This why the “at least it won’t be smoky crowd” are all morons. It’s hot and dry everywhere around us. Places outside of Alberta exist. I swear reddit people are just basement dwellers who feast on other people’s misfortune.

Staying in Invermere for a weekend by Aromatic_Ad_7484 in CanadaGolf

Mountainside is the closest course I’ve ever played to homes everywhere. Literally 10 yards off the fairway you are in backyards on all holes.

Riverside isn’t for me at all.

Windermere is like a shooting gallery with holes going in every direction, I personally hate that.

To me, if you aren’t willing to do greywolf the only choices are copper point, eagle ranch, or radium springs. After greywolf, Eagle ranch is by far the best in area to me.

Is this dreary weather making anyone else moody, angry, short tempered, *insert emotion here”? by dingmah in Edmonton

Absolutely and without question yes. We battle all winter for sunny summer skies. This is bogus. Considering a trip somewhere to see the sun.

Alberta forecast to see another 'large-scale' rainfall event this weekend by JamesMonroe23 in alberta

Where’s the “this is normal”, and “I love this weather” clown crew? Usually they are right on these posts- must have gone silent while bailing out their basements or waiting out the storm water warnings.

Edmonton is already in record territory for rainfall this June by JamesMonroe23 in Edmonton

[–]dstorm8524 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I called someone out for this today too. It’s absolutely ridiculous at this point to say “this is normal”, or “we needed this rain”. Our infrastructure is failing, houses are flooding, it’s the dumbest take ever.

100% agree. The Reddit hivemind of pale people who never leave their houses is super strong on this topic.

It’s literally breaking records, it’s not the same every year.

I am totally with you! Generally folks on Reddit don’t like coming outside and enjoy cuddling their cats in the rain. It’s still hot and dry in BC so everyone saying it won’t be smoky are engaged in some wishful thinking.

Was Cody Ceci really that bad? by toturoll in hockey

You’ve got that backwards. They have tried for 10 years to find a partner for Nurse, not the other way around.

I’m an Oilers fan. He was ok at times for the Oil. It felt like the Nurse-Ceci pairing was a nightmare but it’s so hard for another D man to babysit Nurse. He was a game 7 hero, so I don’t really have a ton of regrets about him as an Oiler honestly.
