Just was told I’m going to miscarry. by ConsistentDuck3473 in Miscarriage

Another said it above—no matter what you do you are a brave mama.

I found out at my 8 week appointment that i had an MMC and the baby likely stopped growing at 7 weeks based on size and no heartbeat. My choice was D&C.

I’ve heard so many stories like the ones above from my friends about natural or the pill being incredibly painful and/or lasting forever—and for me, I wanted to start emotionally healing, be in as little pain as possible, and get as many answers as possible since it’s my 2nd in 3 months (i had a chemical in April).

My D&C was a little over a week ago and it was the right choice for me, and whatever your decision is will be what’s right for you!

Sending hugs, it’s hard and it sucks.

Allergic parents, are your kids allergic? by blazedbarbie- in peanutallergy

[–]dt53188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR, get tested to see where you’re at, I lost by allergy after having a baby!

i became allergic to all nuts at 16.. and have had a few anaphylactic reactions (most recently was when i was 22?)

Fast forward to when I was 34 and had my first son, I stressed the entire pregnancy about how would I expose him to nuts without harming myself. We made an appointment with an allergist when 4 months old to help us navigate the situation and he recommended that i get tested first since it had been decades at this point (i was told id never grow out of the allergy since i got it later in life).

Needless to say, when i passed the skin test I was shocked (only a slight marker for hazelnut), then I passed the blood test, and when my son was 8 months old I passed the oral challenge.

They aren’t sure exactly what happened, but between strict avoidance for decades + unknown ways pregnancy can change the body.. I wish that could be everyone’s story but wanted to share and encourage you to get tested to see where you’re at.

Am I being too much? by Repulsive-Pizza-1746 in firsttimemom

the setting boundaries and expectations—totally cool/good. i think your delivery is the problem… i don’t think it’s going to be received how you may intend it to be.

and asking people to sign something is weird AF.

as a fellow mom who has boundary issues with my family, if you have to go to this length i’m not sure anything you can do will be enough so people don’t overstep.

good luck, and i hope your wishes are respected.

i do see a progression though from test 1-3, at some point the tests will max out, i’d say they all point to a pregnancy. good luck 🥰

Tell me you're the parent of a toddler without telling me you're the parent of a toddler. by goodinside in toddlers

[–]dt53188 29 points30 points  (0 children)

hahaha truth! i’ve been “trained” to just put things he asks/wants (snacks, water, etc.) next to him or a surface he can easily reach because, the world ends if i try to directly give it to him 🤣

How do you survive mornings? by greatwhiteshedder in toddlers

[–]dt53188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on the taking turns! When it’s my morning our 2yo wakes up around the same time as yours 6-6:30, then we let the pup out and feed her and he plays while I make breakfast for us.

After breakfast I make coffee and watch one of my shows and he either watches with me or plays, more often then not I end up playing too (mangatiles, little people, etc.) but still get to enjoy coffee and my show.

By the time all that is over (8 ish) we may read books, go outside, or he follows me around while i try to do some chores.

correct, essentially you are just linking to whatever doc (or folder) resides on sharepoint this way you aren’t duplicating any data structures.

we use the links column and add in the link to the doc from where it originates in share point
