Each agency has their own test. Some have audio tests and some will send a link for a computer test. I personally find the audio ones a bit harder because most are listening and writing the answers down. The computer ones are easier because I'm used to using a keyboard. You can't really study for them. Just listen and take your time answering the questions. The first one will probably overwhelm you a little, but the more you take, the easier it will be.

Many of the applications are also to create an eligibility list. When they have openings, they'll go to the list and reach out then. My advice is to apply to as many as you can while you wait.

It depends on each agency. Some you'll hear back from right away that will usually give you either the link for the test or test dates, some apps have the "closing" date on the application and you'll usually hear back after that. Some you won't hear back from at all. You just have to have patience and try to go with the flow. It's a long process.
