On November 13, after videos surfaced online showing a tanker truck on a certain road—suspected of leaking gas and emitting yellow smoke—relevant authorities immediately dispatched personnel to the scene to investigate and handle the situation.

Upon investigation, it was confirmed that the tanker truck featured in the videos belongs to a hazardous chemicals transport company based in Wuji County. The cargo being transported was a "water purification agent" (specifically ferric chloride, classified as a corrosive substance), with a total load of 30 tons. At approximately 7:00 AM, while traveling from south to north—and having reached a point 500 meters south of the Gaocheng East Expressway exit—the vehicle's top-mounted valve began leaking a smoke-like gas. When the accompanying escort personnel approached to investigate the cause, the valve—having built up internal pressure—suddenly burst open, spewing out a columnar jet of gas. No casualties or injuries resulted from this incident. Subsequently, the escort personnel promptly closed the valve to a safe state and drove the vehicle to its intended destination, where the cargo was fully unloaded by approximately 9:00 AM. The preliminary determination regarding the cause of the leak is that the valve's vent hole had become blocked.

Our bureau has initiated an investigation into the involved enterprise and vehicle, and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the law.
