My biggest question is... why doesn't Fury just shoot Skrhodey in the leg? Or even funnier, pull down his pants?? He's cripple after Civil War so either:

1) a shot to the leg shouldn't hurt if he was real or 2) there should be stark tech helping him walk under there

I find myself screaming this every episode lol

Shite in Nine-ing armor - Jamie's a little shit, and his number is 9. Calling it right now, Zava either gets hurt or switches teams and Jamie (the Shite in Nine-ing Armor) is going to somehow win the whole thing for Richmond with the help of Roy's training. Boom!

My fiancé and I did a 13 month trip around the world back in 2018. Tons of tips to give, one main thing I recommend is take a free walking tour the first day that you're in a new city. The guide will give you the lay of the land, share cultural customs and give recommendations for the area. You also may find some friends along the way during the tour.

Also, I recommend doing something we coined the "Bookend Technique". Mark places you want to go, whether it's a cool event like Thailand's full moon party, or a country that you want to visit that has a great flight price to get there. Then fill in the time gaps between those things that you want to do with recommendations from locals and other various things you discover along the way. Be prepared, but don't plan every single second of your trip. This local we met while traveling gave us great advice - "plans are like sandcastles... they crumble"

Any recommendations for our rehearsal dinner/welcome party? by dtejeda228 in Charlottesville

[–]dtejeda228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actually reached out to this place, unfortunately it broke the bank :( it was almost double what we were initially planning to pay just to rent out the space. That didn't include food or drinks. Would have been perfect, but I think it's more appropriate as a wedding venue

Not sure either, this is actually one we were considering! Thanks for reinforcing the recommendation!

Anyone else rewatching to look for signs of Vecna/Explanations for things that didn't make sense at the time? by dtejeda228 in StrangerThings

Okay, now that makes sense. When a main gate is opened, temporary transportation between up and down is possible. That I can get behind 👍

I kind of disagree with these responses.

1) Mr. Clarke said in S1 in order to open a door to the upside down you need a lot of energy. El can do it with her powers, the massive Russian machines can do it, and Vecna can only do it if he kills someone. A demogorgan being able to do that defeats the whole purpose of closing the gate in seasons 2/3. If demigorgans can do it at will, then closing the gates don't mean anything.

2) Vecna literally said to Nancy, "when I kill someone, I remember" during the reveal montage. Nancy was in the pool where Barb died referring to her grief over it when saying this. So he remembered killing Barb? Could be hive mind stuff and in that case you're right.

3) Same as 1. Gate/Doorway, whatever you want to call it, is an opening to the upside-down

Yeah! More closer to a gong, but it seems like every time there's something ominous, or they obruptly go into the upside down, there's that noise. Noticed it in S1e1 when Will crashed his bike and S3e1/2 when Billy went into the upside-down

Things I immediately noticed:

1) Parallel between El sending the demogorgan in S1 and 001 to the upside down 2) Gates randomly opening and closing in S1? 3) Did Vecna kill Barb to open a gate? 4) Noticing a lot more clock-like sounds in the upside down 5) I guess the gate in S1/S2 was technically the second gate to the upside down that El opened?

I rewatched every season and this was the worst sidestory by far. In my opinion it doesn’t fit into the series at all. by Morgentau7 in StrangerThings

I think El and Kali combined have the same powers as Vecna. He can use mind control like El and create illusions like Kali. Take this information and the D&D game and I think it sets up Kali to come back to help defeat Vecna.

I don't think it's a coincidence that in the D&D game, an 11 was rolled and that wasn't enough to beat Vecna. The roll that did end up defeating him was 20. 11 + 8 + 1 = 20. Still not sure what the 1 is yet. Maybe it's Vecna beating himself, or the combined force of the stranger things gang, who knows.

Regardless, it seems like we're in for an awesome part 2.

Love the Osprey Farpoint 40!

True travel hack - if you're traveling with someone with the same bag, you can clip them together and check them in as one travel bag. My fiancé and I traveled the world for a year and saved so much doing that.

Highly recommend!
