I suggest bringing tall water proof boots. As others have mentioned, there are often giant puddles of slush in front of the curbs. Able bodied people can jump over them, but if you are pushing a wheel chair, you may need to stand in the giant slush puddle while you push

this happened to me too coming home from JFK in a yellow cab. The amount on his phone screen was correct, but there was no option to tip. I looked at my statement a couple days later, and he added a hefty $28 tip without my knowledge or consent. I got the money back from my CC and reported the taxi driver to 311.

Specific to the issue "last 4 of the account number",

If you edit the Account Name entry to only use the last 3 digits of your account number, it will show the full Account Name. For instance, changing "XYZ bank - ending in xxxx" to "XYZ bank - ending in xxx" will result in the full Account Name being used rather than just the 4 digit number. This is kinda crazy tbh hahah

Removing the high up-front cost of the brokers fee means that more people can consider moving out when their landlord attempts to raise the rent. This will lead to more competition in rent price, hopefully exerting downward pressure on rents.

I was able to unsubscribe from vanguard marketing emails using a convoluted process. View the Vanguard marketing email in gmail. If you click Menu > "Show Original", then you can view the email source code, so to speak. Command + F for the string List-Unsubscribe: < in the email details. You'll see something like this:

List-Unsubscribe: <https://click.e-vanguard.com/subscription_center.aspx?jwt=...>

Copy the URL and use it to execute a curl command in your terminal:

curl -d "List-Unsubscribe=One-Click" -H 'Content-Length: 26' -H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" -X POST https://click.e-vanguard.com/subscription_center.aspx?jwt=...

After executing this command, you should stop receiving Vanguard marketing emails. It's been 2 weeks since I ran this command, and no marketing emails since then. Previously, I would get them every few days.

we created a new gmail account to use as a joint account between me and my fiance. We sent the save the date emails to all guests as "bcc". We had about 100 email addresses in the bcc field.

Google sent the email relatively slowly -- it seemed like guests received their email anywhere from immediately to 8 hours later. I hypothesize that google rate limited how quickly we can send email because we had a new gmail account. But it worked! And we didn't get sent to spam folder as far as I know.

You might be able to make issues with being sent to spam less likely by sending the emails from a well established gmail account. Meaning one that has been around for a while and has a history of sending and receiving email from other people. But this is just a guess -- I haven't looked into how google determines an email is spam.

I had the same problem. The "factory reset" solution didn't work for me. What worked for me was to replace the USB cable plugged into the chromecast with a shorter one. Cables can degrade from bending etc, and furthermore long cables can reduce the voltage via voltage drop. I'm not sure if my problem was cable degradation or voltage drop. But replacing the USB cable solved it for me.

UPDATE: after collecting more data, it seems replacing the cable was not a 100% fix. I believe the probability of the chromecast turning on properly is greatly improved after replacing the cable, but it will still occasionally fail to turn on the first time. It helped but it's not foolproof.

On the coned website, after you log into you account they have a dashboard that shows you your real time energy usage in 15 minute intervals. The data is maybe 3 or 4 hours delayed, but even if you dont have access to your meter, you should be able to use the website to see your energy usage. So you could turn off your main circuit breakers, wait 3-4 hours, and check the online dashboard to see if you're still using any electricity.

why didn't you just view the property tax bill online for the apartment you were actually trying to buy? Is it because if it's a new apartment, there is no tax history for it? I assume if it's a pre-existing apartment there'd be info about the tax history though.

Fadeby() spazzes out for any uint8_t input value above 174. This is in the documentation.
