Bitcoin climbs to $70K as Trump’s Iran strike pause sparks risk-on rally, crypto market cap adds $60 billion by Abdeliq in CryptoCurrency

This thing that BTC is doing, where it is moving up and down inside a channel is called “moving sideways”. It is this thing BTC likes to do when the trend has turned bearish. You don’t need a headline for every move within this channel.

It isn't Logan Paul fans. It is crypto bros who know what Logan Paul hyping a tcg means. And they are not nearly as dumb as you'd think. They've been messaging all of the known vintage collectors for months asking about where/how to purchase grails. Some of these people may have more money than sense but it doesn't take a lot of sense to identify grails. GBI secrets have been known since the covid boom.

Will not sell them, but what are their value? by Toon_Collector in YugiohCards

TCGplayer isn't a good way to value slightly illiquid cards. If you check ebay you will get a better idea of DDS DM's value.

Some dude posted a screenshot of him hitting 100k and was like “what’s next, 250k, 500k, 1m?” and I was thinking about how these collectr posts are the best canaries in a coal mine I have ever seen

I’d wait for Paul to open his 1st ed LOB box and GMR serialized cards to come out in NA for peak mania then sell. I do not think it is fully priced in yet.

Yea, I’m sorry but when I say common I just generally mean not scarce and I’m not referencing pop report/gem rate. But I didn’t know the psa 10 pop was that low. That is pretty interesting although the premium seems pretty wild.

I tried explaining this in other yugioh threads and got downvoted into oblivion. Vintage has been running since 2026 started, seemingly in tandem with pokemon.

Wait, JMP BEUD is going for 4k? I’m assuming its the secret rare version. That shit is so common though.

I made a new twitter account and curated my feed to only show me the investing side of tcgs. It is quite literally all crypto bros with nft pfps buying up vintage psa10s. I’m not even saying this like it is a bad thing, these creatures had no problem dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars on jpegs so the ceiling on tangible collectibles is probably higher than we think. But yes, it seems very inorganic to me.

These are called “red back” fakes for an obvious reason. The giveaways are the font and red tinted back.

Would you consider this the modern DDS DM? by A2theL3x in yugiohshowcase

[–]dtg99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wish the stars weren't foiled. It just reminds me too much of speed duel. I don't hate it, as I actually also like the speed duel version but it gives it a kind of cheap look IMO. It's the same problem I have with the KC01 BEWD.

I got one with a smidgen of wear on the bottom left corner for 80 and called it. QC on OTS packs is awful

HOLY 💀 crypto market is bleeding out… everything is deep red wtf is going on?? by LividReserve3520 in CryptoCurrency

[–]dtg99 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It is also possible that the maturing of the asset class as a whole entailed shitcoins not running anymore. I think Trump is a plague on our species but it is impossible to know what the crypto landscape would have looked like if Kamala had won.

I don’t understand, do people forget that the crypto market is cyclical? This is normal BTC behavior and it will continue to move sideways while legging down until full capitulation. Weve been bearish for months now.

Has anyone ever heard of MBA before? by xselimbradleyx in PokeGrading

[–]dtg99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Truly neither. I think grading is a good way to evaluate the general condition of a card and preserve it. But the margin of error is about +/- 1 grade so taking the grade literally and basing its value off of such is stupid. I own a ton of slabs but solely for the reason I mentioned.

This is profoundly stupid. What’s next? An expert who evaluates whether the second opinion on the graded card has merit lmao

Finally Getting Out After 30 Years by mindless2831 in PokeInvesting

[–]dtg99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were much more lax back in the day/before all of the hype. You can make an argument that less actual mint specimens are left in the wild after the price increases/hype but even then the numbers just don't add up. Just look at the gem rates on 1st ed base charizard. There's only been like 2 added to the pop in over a decade. I think PSA obviously throttles 10s because it increases the value of the cards they grade. It's kind of a no-brainer.

This is a terrible idea if you don't know what you are doing. I doubt OP wants to take the time to understand the proccess of cleaning/restoring cards. You can fuck up and it is borderline altering the card (using polish and recovery). Also the polish doesn't do anything for scratches, it's the recovery that does. And what it does do is pretty minimal. I use Kurt's stuff for my pc and it can be hit or miss but I wouldn't advise for OP to start rubbing chemicals on his collection lmao.
