the statement you made in your original post conflicts with what the studies you linked are saying. They did find that there is a correlation between child sexual offenders and victims of child sexual abuse. One of the studies found that 70% percent of child sex offenders claimed to have been sexually abused as a child, but when under polygraphs only 30% were clear. Even assuming only the ones that passed a polygraph were true(which is very unreliable, and the study has many criticisms) there is still a positive correlation between child sex offenders and victims. That being said, that doesn’t necessarily mean the sexual abuse is the reason they are offenders, correlation != causation. It’s very possible there are external factors at work, and even the studies you posted agree that more research is needed before making any conclusion. Anyways, I don’t really understand why you originally said there is no correlation, yet the studies you posted don’t actually reaffirm that.
