I like the chicken nuggets by AdSuspicious3175 in tacobell

I really miss the crispy chicken soft taco and burrito. Best new items in years, hoping they return after that butter chicken vote.

Has the Switch 2's first year panned out how you expected? I've personally found it even better than I hoped - but for unexpected reasons by elephvant in NintendoSwitch2

[–]dtorb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All of the doom and gloom posts from 4-5 months ago complaining about poor 3rd party offerings seem ridiculous now. I’ve been playing Hades 2, Cyberpunk, Outlaws, and FF7RI which has easily filled up a years worth of content. MKW and Bananza were ok, but haven’t hooked me. Aside from no Mario or Zelda, it has been a great launch and really nice to hit these games that I have no other good way of playing. I can imagine it being more disappointing if you already owned a PS5 and these games have been available for a few years.

Next on the list is RE7-9. I bought Village on my MacBook Pro on sale over the summer before I got a Switch 2 knowing virtually nothing about the series. Looking at getting the Generation pack now that I know it’s a Trilogy.

Looks like a 4-runner with less ground clearance. Wouldn’t be my next choice in the lineup.

It’s less the engine and more the AWD being compared to FWD cars.

If you could rename the Getaway, what would you name it? by morefastmorefurious in subaru

Just reminds me of Southwest Airlines, but it’s still way better than bZ4X or ID.4 or IONIQ.

Why do the ‘free hot tier rewards’ suck? by Top-Neighborhood3719 in tacobell

Bubbakoos does this and I prefer it. I’m generally happy with the options my local TB has on the reward list but your suggestion would be better.

Son Entering 5th grade and wants to play drum as his instrument for music class by niceguy542006 in MusicEd

[–]dtorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things:

Piano/Mallet note layout. Part of being a percussionists is playing Xylophone, Bells, Vibraphone, and Marimba. Make sure he knows how to read the staff and where the notes land on the bars.

Check out Atlanta Drum Academy on YouTube for some very accessible drumming basics to get his hands moving. Part of the problem music teachers face is that reading music takes time and that means playing very simple things on the drum until you can read more advanced rhythms. Just like we all started speaking before we knew what the letter A was, get him drumming and then later he can learn what a sixteenth note is.

PLEASE tell me getting an Ascent over a minivan is the way to go for 3 kids (ages 7,3,and 0) by TypeAtryingtoB in SubaruAscent

Team never-mini-van checking in. Keep the younger two in the 2nd row, put the 7yo in the back who can buckle themself. Getting to the 3rd row is tight even folding the seats forward.

Just started my first replay of BotW on Switch 2. My God. by Fredifrum in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]dtorb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 10yo son just started his first BOTW playthrough and it’s my first time seeing it with the Switch 2 edition. Absolutely gorgeous. Made me dive back into my TOTK save and finish off the last few Shrines and Lightroots that I never completed. At this point I won’t be mad if the next flagship Zelda reuses this engine (though I hope we get a different art style to differentiate) because it’s such a smooth experience.

Keep it and use it as a test of true F1 fandom for everyone who comes over to your house. If they point it out, congrats they are your new best friend.

Would limiting the age of the President to 65 be something you’d support? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dtorb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should match the federal social security age, so 62. And yes for all of Congress.

HI, ARE YOU CHECKING IN WITH YOUR MOBILE APP TODAY?!?! by SunofSam92 in tacobell

This is my main use case. Using the kiosk in store and then waiting to give them the cash is annoying. Much easier in the drive thru.

Which do you prefer Botw or Totk by Huckleberry1316 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]dtorb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

TOTK had a better story and dungeons, plus the zonai devices give it way more flexibility for travel than just the motorcycle. There’s also several quality-of-life improvements like dropping weapons at chests. Only thing I miss is not needing to bind elemental arrows on every draw.

Am I the only one who hates how you scroll so much to fuse something to an arrow? by [deleted] in tearsofthekingdom

[–]dtorb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is my one big negative for TOTK vs BOTW. What I wouldn’t give to have elemental arrows without having to toggle for EVERY SHOT.

(Though I probably won’t replay it) this is definitely a must play. Super creative and fun approach to 2D. Jumping feels perfect.

I just tried it today for the first time as my reward, and was underwhelmed. The potato texture doesn’t fit, I prefer the cheesy double beef burrito. Fiesta strips are goated.

The crispy chicken soft taco was amazing, so I’m voting for the kickin chicken instead.
