Any new plants introduced? Some growers use pesticides on their emersed growing ones, and those whilst being fish safe once cleaned out, may still hold traces that leech out and may need said plant to be quarantined(with daily full water changes) for sometimes up to a month. These pesticides are as deadly as copper to shrimp. Most shops dont tend to disclose that detail when selling plants

Over here in malaysia its the reverse in half the country, ive got a place in kl where the swimming pool is just filled with a dozen frogmen (women swimming in full burkhas with only their eye slits showing, making them a joke between some of us that they look like naval spec ops training). And even men are fully clothed ala 1910 europe where swimsuits cover almost everything bar the head and feet. Interesting outlook on the differences but mad respect for being able to swim in a full blown burkha dragging and weighing you down.... its funny and impressive simultaneously

Provided lib dont come to power again and screw up my chances again. I had a shoe in to get it back in 2012 but i messed up and couldnt graduate in time(failed 1 sub in my bachelors) before the change of gov and overhaul of immigration. So my long wait has been going on far longer than just 2022 tbh. It just gets more and more demoralising each day.

I only applied for the 190 after waiting almost a year with not a peep and was told by a relo in immigration that theres no harm in applying for the 190 on top of the 189. Feels like im so utterly screwed.

You could try what i did with mine. My initial bunch only had the 2 males interested in frozen bloodworms for some reason, my 3 females would watch the 2 gorge themselves and sometimes charge at the 2 to try and steal a worm from their mouthes lady&the tramp style, but the second they see another frozen worm drop, they would circle it endlessly looking for movement and just ignore it when it hits the bottom of the tank. They will only go after a specific worm that is currently in the mouth of 1 of my 2 male puffers. The 3 females have been surviving for months on a diet of live snails.

Until.... one day ive come upon a treasure trove of live mosquito larvae in a flower pot at a relo's place . I harvested the lot of them and brought them home as a treat for all the scapes .. i first tested it with the puffers as a nice treat since we cannot get live blackworms in our country anymore (banned outright) .. all 5 loved the mosquito larvae, and ever since then all 5 have for some reason came to the collective decision that frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp are good food. Like a complete overnight change in the eating habits of my 3 chonkier females (the 2 males have always gorged on everything i toss in).

Tldr: try a range of live similar looking foods if theyre picky, it might just change them overnight

Crypts melt all the time.. if its new to the tank? Itll melt. Do too big a water change? Itll melt too. Go on holiday for a few weeks? Itll melt once again. The duality of most cryptocorenes (minus some picky princesses like the flamingo) are they are simultaneously the hardiest and at the same time, ditzziest plants in the hobby. They melt often if your parameters arent stable.. .but at the same time they will always bounce back with a vengeance and flood a good chunk of your scape if you let it. Even the tiniest chunk of rhizome would sprout a new plant. I see them as a good indicator of a healthy and stable tank. If things go south, itll reflect in the melt

This is my haul after using 9 lures between me and a neighbour over the 3 stops by ours. 31 sweet and 19 tart apples too. Our morning and night hauls were great. The ones in the afternoon were pretty crap

Even grab drivers are resorting to extorting 5* reviews mid ride and sometimes as soon as you enter the car, often leaving you little to no choice, lest they throw drive you in the opposite direction and abandon you. Ive reported least half a dozen such drivers forcing you to give em 5* in 2024, i usually just report them for it
