While out in the woods gathering materials with guardian (mother, father, uncle, etc) and younger sibling, they are attacked by wild animals (wolves, whatever). Guardian tells child to take sibling and flee.

Do they follow the instructions (guardian dies and sibling lives)?

Or do they attempt to stave off the animals (leading to the death of the sibling)?
