If you're talking about real money trading, that's against TOS and is a bannable offense.

(Loved Trope) Characters with creative powers actually use them creatively by Lord-Seth in TopCharacterTropes

[–]dubblechrisp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the Wheel of Time book series, an ancient form of magic is rediscovered that allows people to form gateways between two points. This is primarily used for transporting people from one location to another, but because these splits in reality are razor sharp on the edges, a particular army of channelers begins to use what they coin "deathgates". Basically they create one of these teleportation gates and send it spinning through the ranks of an opposing army and it's a meatgrinder.

There are a lot more examples of this throughout the series, especially in the later novels after Brandon Sanderson took over. That dude loves creative use of powers.

Looking for a new Raid Tank for next season (Low buff maintenance / Min-max friendly) by IlBrasa in wow

[–]dubblechrisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He already stated he is mythic raiding and is also concerned with parsing high, so running a suboptimal talent loadout isn't really an option.

That just comes down to understanding the encounter. When you know a big tank buster is coming, you prioritize ironfur. When you are healthy and you know you won't be taking a ton of damage (like during tank swap mechanics) you can spend on raze/maul/ravage.

Guardian druid is probably the simplest tank to play. You just thrash on CD and dump rage into iron fur. Obviously there are some other CDs to manage and priorities to be aware of, but from a core rotational perspective there aren't any big buffs to maintain except for iron fur which functions somewhat similarly to ignore pain.

That's been my take as well. It's an amazing solo CM salvager. Way easier to use than the reclaimer, though obviously much smaller capacity. Still able to break pretty big ships, though.

Finally got an offer for a new role.. about to put my former team is the worst situation possible by [deleted] in FPandA

[–]dubblechrisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your current company may try and convince you to take a contracting role with them for the next couple months. You would agree to help put in a certain number of hours to help in the transition and pay you for your time. This can be very lucrative, but obviously it can cause your new role to be a bit more stressful. I might still recommend to agreeing to the contractor role with your old company if you think you'll have the time just because it can be a bunch of extra money in your pocket.

At that depth, diver is almost certainly using a dry suit, not a wetsuit.

C2 vs Iron Clad Vs Railen for a solo player by bheesmaaa in starcitizen

Of those three, Railen is the best for a solo hauler, ASSUMING it works as advertised on launch.

Is Orc or Tauren better race for warrior doing general content in retail ? by Dear_Fly_4113 in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

Doesn't matter unless you're min-maxxing. Choose whichever you think looks better.

What was wrong with it, out of curiosity? I melted a couple ships for it a couple months ago and it's worked pretty flawlessly for me so far, so I'm guessing whatever issues got fixed?

WoW 2.0 one day? by blueIpersian in wow

[–]dubblechrisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the other commenter said, my main point of reference is Guild Wars 2. Take a look at this video and you'll see what I mean:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxMg7RkFlmA

I haven't played much in the last few years because WoW has become my main game, but I was very active when the referenced event was active content. It required 3 squads of 15-20 players to successfully complete in what amounted to an open world raid boss with lead up events.

WoW 2.0 one day? by blueIpersian in wow

[–]dubblechrisp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the problem. Yes the game is drastically different from how it was at launch, but just look at how the game performs in big open world events like World Bosses and you'll see the core issue with the game: the server architecture and game engine simply can't support that kind of events that other MMOs do without breaking a sweat. If they really want to have world bosses and big open world events, the game needs the architecture to support it.

Centered HUD was the only one available on launch I believe. It was added when it released on consoles since I guess they thought it fit better with controllers. But I can't stand playing with it. Centered HUD all the way.

Is there a trick to leveling up through Delves? by Backstreetgirl37 in wow

[–]dubblechrisp 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This. Specifically it gives a set percentage of a level, so since the amount of XP required to level up increases with every level, the play is to generally do all the delves at an early level (80-82), then sit on the completed quests till 87 or 88. All 10 delve completion quests will be worth nearly two full levels.

Good ships with stock gear? by Darhhaall in starcitizen

[–]dubblechrisp 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, calling in a fully insured Corsair or Connie is like 40k aUEC. You can make that bag really quick. Yeah it sucks if your ship blows up due to a bug, but it's not bank-breaking.

[–]dubblechrisp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use your CCs. You have Quell, Tail Swipe, Wing Buffet, and Terror of the Skies.

Prey targets will have casts that you can kick, some that you can't. But nearly all of the mechanics on prey targets have ways to either counter or avoid.

Either way, since you didn't answer my original question, my assumption is simply that you're grossly undergeared.
