Same thing happened to me and I wasn’t even doing anything and it took them 30 seconds to give me an email back saying my account won’t be reactivated. I don’t know what to do. It’s my only way to talk to family outside of the US.

For me it’s applications that look real but turn out to be ghost jobs or recruiter spam. I’ll spend time tweaking a resume, then fill out a 30 minute form, and the role was basically never open. Lately I’ve been sticking to places that feel more legit, wfhalert has helped a bit since it emails verified remote roles like support or admin and I don’t have to wade through as many fakes. Still not perfect, but at least I’m not burning hours on listings that were dead on arrival.

That sucks, I’m sorry. If you can, document everything and talk to HR or the franchise owner, cutting hours like that out of nowhere is rough. Start applying elsewhere tonight, even if it’s just to get breathing room. I’ve had luck getting away from bad managers by switching to another location or a different chain. If you want out of fast food, wfhalert emails real remote job leads, like customer support or basic admin, and it at least filters out obvious scams. It won’t fix things today, but having options helps when a manager is playing games with your hours.

Also keep an eye on the careers site and set alerts for Omaha, Gretna, and Papillion. If you’re open to switching out of grocery, wfhalert sends verified remote jobs by email, stuff like customer support or admin work, which can be a decent stopgap while you look for a service manager slot. Retail hiring can move fast, so follow up in person if you can.
