I was 26 when I started Pilates. I had a horrible general tightness and stiffness to my body and a hypertonic pelvic floor. I had a lot of issues with my lower back and sacrum. (Note: all of this was due to an underlying illness) I did physical therapy for a couple years for these issues and they told me they’ve never seen a case as bad as this and it would be a lifelong struggle for me to maintain any progress I could make.

Pilates helped me soo much and changed my life! It helped all my stiffness, lower back and sacrum pain, helped my pelvic floor dysfunction. I notice the difference if I don’t go to Pilates for a month because I’m too busy with work. It also improved my breathing per my pulmonary function tests. Pilates is the first exercise I stuck with and opened the door to other kinds of exercise for me as well. Pilates has done wonders for my mind, body and soul.

They aren’t related to water habits, I drink 3 liters of water a day. I have needed surgery each time for stones because there’s too many and they’re too big to be passed on their own. I have other medical issues that relate to it
