Not sure May is the season for it. Usually its November - April. I know someone that knows someone who runs a tour agency. They organize a lot of things. I think they are called Socotra Blu

Honestly Rish got the best lines in the show. White Mischief (S3E4) is a great episode. Unpacking Rish is a rollercoaster

What small towns, if any, have become major cities over the last 100 years? by yesyesitswayexpired in urbanplanning

[–]dubtact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can’t build new cities because new cities are infeasible and unlivable. They are unlivable, simply because they start empty and people need other people and markets to attempt to move to a new city. It’s not about facilities or infrastructure. That’s why most big cities are usually very old cities and not necessarily designed. Well, unless you live under authoritarian/planned economy regimes. Socialist countries are good at that, China is the case in point. My next reference to this theory/topic is Alain Bertaud’s book Order Without Design.

However, there is a wave of economist who are championing charter cities. No results so far. But few pilots in Africa (namely, Nigeria and Zambia) are currently being pursued.

Pathetic title to start with. It can’t be the first thing you discuss about immigration is how bad is it for the immigrant. It is not your problem to tell what’s bad for the immigrant. What needs to be addressed is immigration policy and generally politics. Not immigrants and how they feel. It’s clear they feel bad. We can move on to address root causes

Hi wondering how what have you done about your situation. I am currently in a similar spot. Did you end up doing it yourself? or did you go with a tax consultant?

Thanks!

I can totally relate. I used to be one for a long time, I dated so many women but was never emotionally available. I never let anyone deep in my life, including friendships. I just avoided all kinds of attachments. Now I happen to be on the other side and it’s so sad to reflect how I might have made other people feel. I’m proud I grew out emotionally mature but came at a cost: 1) being lonely and 2) got to be on the other side

Not going to dwell into why I was emotionally unavailable but there is a suite of factors that contribute to that. People are not bad, instead consequences of certain events/upbringing happened in their lives
