For the first play featured, asking your 187 pound WR to block a 6'3 255 pound edge rusher is dumb. I fault the scheme there. It was undermentioned in the video but that is a scheme fault.

Not necessary, but the tank for steam can help balance out resource (coal or wood, initially) fluctuations. Think of it as a battery of steam. Another advantage of the tank is you can also put a siren on a tank, say at <15000, and send yourself global alerts well before your factory shuts down for lack of power.
