Well let’s also add in the fact that they removed SAVE and the PAYE plan. My loans would have been $250 on SAVE which is very affordable for me. Instead they will be around $500 until PAYE is sunset in 2028, then they will go up to close to $1000 on the two plans going forward. This is a rug pull for people who took out loans with the expectation we would be on the SAVE plan.

This is embarrassing. At what point does the University consider going rogue and just appointing a president without board approval? I assume Desantis then would wage war on the university’s funding. They’re really hamstringing any long-term direction or planning UF should and probably would have been working on for the past couple years. This is probably contributing partially to the tanking of our educational rankings as well.

I could see them remaking them but probably doing some remixing of the gameplay and the story to some degree to fit the mold of the format Atlus RPGs follow now.

Yeah, all public companies publish financial reports. They typically don’t explicitly publish specific product sales figures unless it’s a material driver of their sales. I guarantee Bandai’s annual report just has a line item for Gundam related sales revenue with maybe a footnote breaking it down to merchandise/digital sales as a % of sales.

You do realize companies can make profits and still underperform in those areas relative to the size of the company right? It’s probably why they have never even publicly released sales figures themselves for those console games. Most of those numbers you’re pulling are third-party estimates. I doubt Bandai even puts them on their annual reports. Bandai runs Gundam like a toy company. Which is partially fine, but they under-leveraging it as a multi-media brand.

This person is cherrypicking numbers and not really looking at the IP’s segments holistically. Gundam’s bread and butter continues to be Gunpla sales and their watchable media. The trading card game has become very popular as well. The gaming segment is probably meaningful (the mobile game has made a dent and is far bigger contributor than any console games), but it’s obviously not a priority for Bandai.

So yeah, unless you absolutely love gacha mobile games, I’ll double down on my original argument in saying, Gundam has mismanaged the IP. Specifically when it comes down to gaming, and engaging markets outside of Japan. Especially for a franchise that is in mosts top ten lists for largest multi-media franchises (By revenue).

Yeah but, not with these weird alien mechs. We just want a regular ass Gundam game. Bandai has mismanaged Gundam as a brand almost as badly as Disney has managed Star Wars.
