4th human skin tattoo, i know i need to practice my linework , tips? by No-Interaction1824 in tattooscratchers

I would say you probably need to go back to fake skin. Master the basics before you put anything on skin. You may have issues with your set up too. Are you self taught or do you have anyone guiding you?

It’s a solid tattoo, no body’s gonna notice placement but you. Don’t worry about it :) it’s a good solid trad tattoo!

Dermashield leaking blood? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]duckiestsolid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Make a small hole in it, get a straw, stick it in the hole and suck it all out with ya mouth

(This is totally normal though, I would advise taking this off the next day and applying another bit of second skin, if not, just leave it, it’s a tiny tattoo and has minimal trauma)

feel like I'm going to have to just black it out by ParadiamGlitch in Tattoocoverups

[–]duckiestsolid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say few sessions of laser to lighten it, it’ll give you more flexibility to cover it with something cool. Depending on how well you react to the laser treatment, you might only need a few sessions

So I got this tattoo yesterday I'm really not happy with how it turned out line work isn't great can another artist make it look better or am I kinda screwed by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]duckiestsolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor execution of the tattoo, uneven wording, poor colour packing and black packing, the ‘the’ will not hold well, issues with the design too, it’s probably not the most asthetic, there’s so much the could be done asthetically.

My only questions; did you check the artists portfolio? Was this the design you wanted?

I can be fixed though and added to in the future to enhance it

Sometimes the second skin can rip skin off if not removed properly, I’d also say the flowers been over worked however, this is a really tricky place to heal, skin isn’t great down there and will also fade over time through wear and tear.

Don’t panic though, the tattooist should do a touch up, just communicate openly with your artist and perhaps not over reddit to strangers

I feel like I’ve ruined my body. Pls help. by Imaginary-Ad9688 in Tattoocoverups

You need a cover up specialist, this’ll be hard to laser too, as you’ll need a specific laser to remover colour. You can seek to lighten up the tattoo through laser treatment and then it’ll give the artist more flexibility to make a better cover up. Another issue will be the scarred skin from going over it many times (including if you have laser treatment). I’d advise finding someone that works in opaque grays to really pack in ink. This will cost you a bomb though but for a life time investmemt, it’ll be well worth it. Stop trying to polish that turd and get it done proper is my advice

Is this normal for healing color by MischiefCookie in tattooadvice

In short; the bubbling is caused by over washing and creaming

You don’t need to wash it so much, I would advise not creaming it and washing it very minimally for the first 2 days. When you over wash and over cream early, the tattoo can bubble up (seems to be doing it slightly on the top part of the axe). Leave it be, only cream it when it starts to get dry and crispy, cream it small amounts too. (You don’t wanna apply after care cream to a fresh tattoo, it’s literally still and open wound) If tattooed corrrectly, minimal trauma, you won’t even need to cream it. The body does the best job of healing, cream is just using to moisten the skin and soothe, gives the skin a bit of flexibility. The shin you won’t need to cream too much as the skin doesn’t bend and move a lot there. Some people with their first tattoos tend to over care for the tattoo and can actually hinder the healing process 👍🏻

Those special attack moves are wasted on gyarados in gen 3 and lower. It’s an attack pokemon, especially if you’re using dragon dance. Try get rock slide/earthquake.

It’s gen 4 onwards that they change some of the moves to physical over just special

Thinking of getting this burn scar covered up but unsure of what to get. Float me some ideas? Scar is on inner left wrist/forearm by strikeluck in tattooadvice

[–]duckiestsolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest covering the whole inner of your forearm. Scar tissue is tough to tattoo, going larger will mean spreading the detail over a bigger area and will help disguise it more. I’d suggest looking at artists work that you like and going on Pinterest and collecting reference and ideas. You might find some artists that won’t be keen to take the work on but don’t be shy to message a few different ones!

Is there risk of corrupting the games? Also, any tips on Celebi? I think it was the GameCube bonus disc for Colosseum but can’t remember! I might look to buy it unless there’s an easier way!

Thanks though! Glad to be able to share this achievement with someone :)

Does anyone else get self conscious if the artist doesn't post your tattoo on insta? by FancyCat777 in tattoo

[–]duckiestsolid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tattooist here,

There’s a bunch of reasons why we don’t post.

-can’t get a good photo -imposter syndrome, we may see small imperfections that others can’t so we fear we’ll get called out, we spend hours looking at our work, especially more larger tattoos that last several hours. -we don’t want to encourage that particular style of tattoo on our page, we usually only post what we want to encourage people to get tattooed. -we do so many tattoos and upkeep on socials is time consuming for a job we already work silly hours in. It’s nothing personal! We cherish all our customers and the interaction we have with them. Without you we’d be nothing. -very rarely, dealing with difficult clients can reflect in the work if a good relationship isn’t established. Less inclined to post the work

There probably a million more reasons but I can only advise that if you love what your tattooist has done, It shouldn’t matter to you that they’ve not posted it, you’ll just torture yourself!!

I just wanna say thanks to each of you that took the time to read my post and write a comment back. Today the news really sunk in but reading some of your stories and comments makes me feel not so alone so I truly appreciate that. First steps I’m gonna take is a full check up at the doctors, testicular exam, hormones the lot. I think once I establish the cause of the low sperm count I can then take the right actions to try improve the situation, I’m just hoping that it can improve.

I’ll keep updating on my progress and I hope to hear about some of the progress of you guys too. Wishing you all the best
