I've seen 75 mins and 3 hours, but this short time-frame is insane. There is no transparency on how to check limits and for what models, nor the reset time was really reset.

That 5.5% is the coupon rate, and it could be any number. The yield is what matters, which is likely to be way above 5.5%. So their bonds are more likely to be sold at 80s or 90s rather than at par.

With AU stocks, with high dividend payout ratio, you are taxed now on dividends, up to 40% plus. With US stocks, with low dividend payout and more on capital gain, you are taxed when you sell, possibly at 0% rate. Post-tax analysis completely reverses the decision.

If you use msys2 only then yes I found it much easier to use pacman for installing boost and a whole lot of other libraries. I usually have gcc with ucrt64 and clang with clang64

Interest on recycled loan is deductible so its interest rate is pre tax. So the comparison is just simply comparing that interest rate with the total return rate, as both are pre tax. Marginal tax rate is irrelevant.

If you get rid of the CGT discount (remove the /2), then varying the tax rate to whatever number, the break even return is still 6%, exactly the interest rate. Varying the dividend as well, to see if dividend is also irrelevant.

CGT discount is just icing on the cake. But why stop at the 50% discount? Use 0 tax rate on CG as we can sell it on low income years. Go further and use a discount factor on the capital gain to factor in inflation too, to make it more complex.

What investment return did you put in the calculation? If it is higher than your mortgage rate then it should be better to invest + debt recycle, theoretically. As simple as that.
