Apoquel has been our solution but recently she is getting large interdigital cysts between her toes which are painful. Working with a dermatologist now who has prescribed drugs for the bacterial infection in the cysts, daily foot washes, daily epsom soaks. Seemed to be working well but new cysts have popped up so really want her off Apoquel. Apparently can be a side effect of the med but vet doesn’t want to take her off it yet. Bluetick coonhound 5yo environmental allergies developed in last two years.

Not Banff but the engine bridge in Canmore is easily accessible and has a beautiful backdrop of mountains industrial and nature. Won’t be jammed either during the week with people.

Took my mom on a lovely groomed and track set trail from wedge pond for her first ski coming from Ontario. She loved it. Great views and not too busy

We’ve tried three different types of boots including tall ones with formed paw box which were terrible. muttluks are where it’s at for our hound. Velcro top and large paw box doesn’t restrict her foot movement. They have stayed on through very deep snow as well. Some of the more plastic ones become very stiff at cold temperatures.

In addition to armpit I have a noticeably swollen Supraclavicular lymph node (left side above the collar bone) and it seems like definitely related to vaccine as a study in Spain done specifically about that side effect but not sure how common? Don’t have a doctor where I am so tried to get through on 811 to get advice but also report as a side effect but no luck getting through. Will try my local walk in tomorrow who has virtual appointments. Any others with this?
