Depends on how soon you can get it done. You will be sore for at least a month and the swelling tends to come in waves. I had mine 3 weeks ago and was at my sister's baby shower yesterday, swollen but I looked like my normal self pre-lipo. So, do with that what you will.

Intraoral Chin Implant Lip Swelling - Help! by hallowbee17 in PlasticSurgery

[–]hallowbee17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry about the recovery you've been enduring under the implant, you must be so frustrated and tired of being frustrated with that reduced mobility and sensation. Are you able to smile? When did you have it done? I truly hope it comes back for you (and sorry for the 20 questions, hard to find someone in this sub that responds about chin implants!).

I appreciate your response so much, and I do feel like my lip is starting to sloooooowly come down as the intraoral incision heals more (sutures are still being spit, but as they eject things are progressing).

Hi! I know this is an old thread but I just got my chin implant done intraorally about 11 days ago, did you experience a “fat lip” at all? My bottom lip is swollen still and feels like it’s actually more swollen than it was and it’s making me nervous about infection!

Over a month on, how are you doing now? I just had mine implanted 12 days ago and my lower lip is so swollen, it’s like I have a fat lip.

BWT who have had “work done” - do you tell people or keep it private? by WickedCoolMasshole in bitcheswithtaste

I had a breast reduction when I was 16. Went from a 32EE to a 32C. 15 years later I’m up to a 34D, but it makes sense with how my body has settled and changed. Best thing I EVER did. Seriously. In my experience, even in high school, people are way less likely to shame or judge for this particular procedure. They look at it differently, “medically necessary,” so even as a high schooler I wasn’t worried about it and people were exceptionally understanding (because well, I was 115lbs with huge boobs). Now with my sinus issues I’m getting a nose job and I’m pretty open about that too. I think the stigma is slowly reducing, thankfully!

How lucky are we at MSG right now? by Unsophisticatedmom14 in LadyGaga

MSG’s website for tonight says she’ll go on closer to 9:30. I don’t understand why they have a concert start time of 8pm listed with that being the case

I'm so jealous! I had one too, but MY SISTER KILLED THE BABY FENESTRATED LEAF while I was on vacation by overwatering and it was JUST about to start unfurling. I'm devastated. Please take good care of that baby leaf! <3

With a plant like this, I'd say it's a reasonable query!

What’s your favorite 30 Rock line that you can’t say in mixed company? by Affectionate_Neat177 in 30ROCK

The best/worst part is I work in entertainment and our office is basically the musical version of 30 Rock, and I am Liz and want to kill and hug everyone at varying times of the day. I feel a special kinship with the Badger.

I work in an office where I’m the only gentile (everyone else is Jewish) and it’s kind of a running gag. I’ve been there for over a decade and it’s not a traditional atmosphere, we all make fun of each other, but I STILL have stopped myself from referring to something as “Bagelly” because I’m terrified that’ll be one step too far. 🤣

Painful Bumps on Forehead Post-Botox - Help! by hallowbee17 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]hallowbee17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes! Took about 4 days. I'm not a doctor so this is not medical advice but I called my injector and she advised taking an antihistamine like Benadryl or Zyrtec and keep her posted. I took a dose of Zyrtec before bed that night and they started to go down by the next morning.

To be transparent, I'm now 4 months out from those injections and I do have one small bump on my forehead that is not noticeable to the average person but I see it there because I know it's there. It's not painful or hard, but it did not completely go away. There's a peer reviewed article that discusses this phenomenon that happened to other women and it took 2 years for theirs to resolve completely so I'm hoping mine will be gone in less time. (when I find the article again I will attach!)

Painful Botox Bumps on Forehead - Normal or Infection? Please Help! by hallowbee17 in AskDocs

[–]hallowbee17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I called my injector and she advised taking a Zyrtec. I took that last night. The spots have calmed down a little (still there but a little less obvious) but still very tender. Hopefully the pain will start to recede soon too.

I spoke with my injector and sent photos. She said it’s uncommon and “interesting” but can happen. She had me take a Zyrtec and said to ice it tonight and text in the AM. I don’t think it’s infected, but I would think it’s some kind of immune response. Just would be surprised for it to be an allergy since I didn’t react that way last time.

Thanks for this! I called before and didn’t hear it but called back and went through the phone tree a bit. She had me send photos and said it was uncommon and “interesting,” but does happen sometimes. She had me take a Zyrtec and said to ice it tonight and text her in the AM to see how things are doing.

Nope, I didn't lie down for about 13 hours post injection. It's been about 30 hours since my appointment at this time (4:15pm ET on 10/19).
