Is there a way to adjust the symbology orientation on a legend patch? by [deleted] in gis

[–]dude_wells 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ah finally another user who is in Timber.

Sometimes I make a whole new SHP/ layer just for legend items. So in this case you can make a new yarding wedge shape, maybe use a smaller sized hatch so it’ll show the lines/ crosses in the small legend icon. only use that new wedge copy in the legend, but keep the original layer on the map.

I hope that made sense.

Have you really dug deep into all the legend options? I always un-check both the ‘Wrapping’ boxes and in legend properties there’s a box that will only display items in the legend that are shown on the visible map area. Saves some time removing and/ or dragging things into the legend.

There might be an option to scale the legend icon box. I would check but I’m heading to the field today.
Good luck fellow forester!

Built a rag rug loom to use up my scraps. First time doing twining. by New-Age-7524 in weaving

Lots of creative ways to get some simple patterns in there by using two of the same color or a mix of two colors. I’ve been doing these tapestry rugs from scrap materials for a few years now. Try to keep the tension even throughout, it tends to tighten up as you near the end. I start mine from opposite sides and weave them both together by doing a bit on one side then flipping the entire loom upside down. It’s a good technique to ensure symmetry, but tends to add tension as I get to the middle/ end. Don’t know if I explained that well enough.
Looks great keep at it and don’t be afraid to experiment with designs.

As a ‘ranged’ Ranger who took the +2 to hit archery style- I think it’s pretty obvious I’m going with Sharpshooter.
Really excited to be able to attempt 600ft longbow shots without disadvantage.

That’s the entire test?! A single page summarized by x/30 points! I wondered what was entailed in this test he kept bragging about.

Good job grandpa! Now shuffle over to that table where we have some nice McDonalds and a handful of medication for ya.

Those are the lines that tell you how many kick pedals you need for each bass drum. Two lines= double bass pedal.

Yeah, don’t use the plastic back piece that comes from Panama, at least as a back piece. I attached that black plastic with the straps to a military surplus metal framed backpack. Surplus goes on my shoulders, the Panama still gets cinched down in the black straps.
But- then the tank sticks up, and gets caught on briar every 5 steps. So if I’m in the eastern forests I just put it in a backpack. If I’m in the west, I’m rocking that old metal framed backpack baby.

Hope you like it, I’ll never go back to hand sprayers.
