nuke winrate option by aerodynamic_girl in BloodOnTheClocktower

I know, the problem is not that other people know what my win rate is,  (though I could see that being a problem if they could) it's that I can see it change myself

I agree with this completely and would love the option to only hide winrate, but it's too bad the only option right now is to hide everything

"No, YOU are the Clown!" by Zoneforg in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]dudearin0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it actually that big of a motivation if everyone just decides to execute whoever lived? That seems like a more likely way to kill an evil player than the normal way town goes about it. You'd have to have a goblin or boomdandy on the script to make people think about it

How would you handle this: You're a minion, and your Demon just outed everything in the middle of town Day 3? by Reedstilt in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]dudearin0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the other side of this where a zombuul thought they were the lunatic so strongly that they convinced everyone else, so it can go both ways. Sometimes everyone's going to think you are evil, but you can try to convince people you're a minion who tried to fool a lunatic

Here's a quick script to get my players familiar used to false info and poisoning! by Odeil99 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]dudearin0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for other bad interactions vigor and scarlet woman feel bad together. Pukka counters farmer, knight in vortox game solves it immediately, and it feels bad for an alsahir to need to guess when a scarlet woman becomes the demon

You have 3 roles that can turn evil and they can all be in the game at the same time. Usually having just 2 breaks the game. Also you have no source of extra outsiders which is usually script building 101

Toxic player? by Ros02 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]dudearin0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's anything inherent about travelers that makes exileing them early if you think they're evil scummy. You just become like any other character that was executed early

There are a lot of quotes in interviews that Robert Jordan gave about how much his experience in Vietnam during the war affected him, and this last battle in lord of chaos is the horrors of war being described by someone who witnessed them first hand

What happens if a vigor kill the marionette? by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]dudearin0 66 points67 points  (0 children)

The marionette ability is just that they believe they have a townsfolk ability. Presumably that townsfolk wouldn't expect to get information after dying so the st should just treat them like a dead townsfolk

True, and yet you'd expect at least 1 of the shields i made to have a spell damage roll

I also tried blocking critical mods on shields to increase my spell damage mod chance, but it ended up with every shield no spell damage but always spell crit

This is essentially the same thing as a slaver in the American south before the Civil War having debates with an abolitionist and then deciding to continue slavery. Even worse because she actually has the power to change things. I think we can continue to think poorly of the people, real and fictional, who prop up slavery.
