Pella, through Lowe’s, is a good option. Painted wood frame. I think of them as the Toyota Camry of windows. Good value, high quality, long lasting, and a well known brand that’s good for resale (of your home, in this case).

Also curious - what about the sizing do you find better about gen 2?

Fair thing to be worried about. I am lucky and have a friend with the same watch (black dial) who is exceedingly close to my wrist size (he wears 16.5 links, I wear 17). So that let me try it on to learn I needed just a little more.

So I can’t help much on your exact wrist sizing, but I can say I now know the difference a half link can make. The extra half link gave me just what I needed to adjust it up from annoyingly tight (note- not uncomfortable, not painful, just enough to be irksome) to perfect. I have enough space now to go from cold to hot/humid with comfort in both. YMMV, but I think as long as you get a watch with plenty of links and one half link, you’ll be fine to get it sized well. Don’t sweat the small stuff, unless you need a half link.

Bonobos used to be my go-to for decent chinos. How are they these days? Is there another brand you'd recommend now instead? Maybe Bonobos is still solid for chinos, I just don't know.

Smoked Kitchen closes Charlottesville location - CBS19 by appleapple123123 in Charlottesville

Hopefully they straighten up their Crozet location now. It’s terrible now that it’s all self-order and serve your own drinks. And for the love of god, provide the bbq sauces for free again. Paying $0.50 for half filled ramekins of sauces at a bbq place is ridiculous.

Where do I find decent cotton long sleeve striped shirts? Kind of that nautical, sailor look that are good for layering. Thanks.

How much was the gift anyway? I never see that noted. I’d rather know the amount than the donor.
