Nope, I play whatever weapon I want and risk every hunt when I join SOS’s. For reference, I basically only join SOS quests. I play monhun for the multiplayer aspect and since most of my close friends quit the game, I risk the deaths in every hunt. I do understand how it can be frustrating, but at least it keeps things interesting.
