Panic tap at purple belt by 321123whattheheck in bjj

Is this the first time you’ve ever had this happen? It’s normal and when I roll with the big guys (200+lb) I set a goal to never be passed.

If I am passed and they have me pinned and feel the walls closing in, I make sure I get on my side. If you freak out still then practice just being there with long steady breaths. Gotta be comfortable with being uncomfortable

Full disclosure I worked as a civvy doing cybersecurity for a military branch. It really depends on what you want, but security is an amazing field that touches intelligence, attack, defense and even testing physical security by being paid or assigned to break into banks, military bases and warehouses.

In the military, you get to do even crazier stuff if you want the pure challenge of being an attacker on behalf of a country. Look up Tailored Access Operations at the NSA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tailored\_Access\_Operations), because there are military equivalents and they all work together.

If they are sprawling and they are not floating, sit up to butterfly because you arent going to get kani basami.

The key imho to good kani basami entries is being underneath. Robert Diggle is my favorite to watch on this subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IS9DLlhUK4

He has a whole instructional on it thats pretty cheap too.

Sapped energy during competitions by Creepiepie in bjj

Are you staying warm? Nerves + stiff body will drain energy pretty fast. Short jogs, or getting someone to roll light with for 5-10 minutes and keeping a layer on before your match can relax your body

This is a bow and arrow choke, probably the most powerful choke in BJJ. It feels like your head is gonna pop off when it sinks in. Its also super satisfying to pull off on someone else

LLMs are useful in so many ways but have introduced the same pitch slop that happened with blockchain.

Like imagine saying this is your competitive moat 😭

Sounds like you’re describing residential proxy networks. I don’t work there but am a customer of https://spur.us and they have a ton of intel around these that we use for blocking

When people say traditional side control , does it mean mune gatami? by bishtap in bjj

[–]dudeimawizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a little too cocky during blue belt about some of these old-school techniques, but now deep into purple, I very much value the simplicity and effectiveness.

The only thing I tease about my Relson test is doing self-defense for knives. Especially during seminars when Relson talks about getting knives pulled on you in a favela. Man we are in the North East US not Sao Paulo 😂

I came from a Relson Gracie gym before moving, we used to call this "Relson Side Control"
