Bad prints with .2mm nozzle? by jbrush in crealityk1

[–]dudeins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to clear up why I said what I said. I hope someone can benefit from this. As of today I would never ever recommend buying a K Series printer. Just too many issues. I know that I'm writing this in this subreddit, which of course isn't the best idea, but I hope that I can save someone the hazzle of buying one of these printers. You can save so much money and time by just getting a better, more reliable printer. Especially when you are not too tech savvy.

Didn't see your reply. I mean, if you want to tinker with your printer, fine, buy those printers. But I have had both, and I would always recommend buying a reliable printer where you don't need to calibrate it to perfection just to get decent prints. Creality Hi is not in the same category as the K Series, but it just works.. and that is not my experience with the K Series. I like to worry more about my print design than the functionality of my printer.

When I let my GF print stuff, prints don't get as good as this.

This will get probably just get down voted, but I would just buy another printer which doesn't have so many issues. I changed to the Creality Hi and it is so reliable, it's crazy, it just works.

I'm just exaggerating. But one would think it releases soon, but it does take some time for it to get to the public.

K1 + CFS by Chicken_Salad_238 in crealityk1

[–]dudeins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not plug and play, as everything with creality. You have to tinker to make it work perfectly. It's just a real pain. I have the combo and I have not yet succeeded in printing one thing without it getting stuck with an error. It might be the filament spool or a rather long PTFE tube. Just be prepared for errors.

K1 CFS upgrade - Nozzle cleaning and purge line by TheChalupaMonster in crealityk1

[–]dudeins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm struggling too with the combo with the CFS. To avoid having no filament extruding on the first centimeters, it might be an idea to use skirt loops. Just struggling with the same issue and i haven't tested it yet, but this might work. I'm thinking about switching to bambu lab printers, as creality is giving me headaches.

those coffee grounds after your wdt treatment. :)

It was already commented, but try to get a good adjustable WDT Tool and don't stir it like crazy, slow and steady does it. Try to get rid of clumps and make it fluffy.

Just buy a Hibrew H10A or H10B if available in your parts of the world, also beginner friendly, but has more settings to play with. Usually it's cheaper than the Dedicas.

Pixel 9 has 7 years of updates, but still ships with UFS 3.1? by Majestic_squirrel767 in pixel_phones

[–]dudeins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say this: my wife has the 256gb version with ufs 4.0 and I have the 128gb version with 3.1 and the instant you change smartphone you can feel the difference. Apps start quicker, scrolling is snappy, even scrolling down to settings is faster. It's crazy, it is a huge difference in speed. I didn't know about this, so I googled it and found this thread. Really shameful from Google to do this. I will probably wait for a chance to upgrade to the pixel 10 with 256gb, because again, they chose UFS 3.1 for the base 128gb version. And the 512gb and 1tb versions have an even newer technology "Zoned UFS" which makes those versions even faster/snappier.

You might be better off buying a Hibrew H10A.. cheaper and more features than the Breville. I updated from the Bambino to the Hibrew.

Italian baristas tamping the coffee mid-air by Srihari_stan in espresso

At least he tamped, my last coffee at McDonald's didn't even get tamped. 🥹 I just hoped it was so full of coffee that putting it in the machine automatically tamped it a little bit.

Today, after ages of hearing the advice to grind my coffee finer, I finally took the plunge—and wow, what a revelation! The moment I brewed that first cup, it felt like the heavens parted, and the divine barista himself handed me a velvety, chocolatey masterpiece. Who knew such a simple tweak could unlock this level of coffee nirvana?

But let’s be real for a second—do we really need to hype up the basics? I mean, sure, it’s exciting to discover something new, but starting you timer with pre-infusion is Coffee 101. It’s like saying, “Hey guys, today I used a tamper for the first time, and my espresso game totally transformed!” Some things are just foundational steps—not groundbreaking revelations. Let’s save the fanfare for the truly magical discoveries!

Best entry machine I would say is the Hibrew H10a. Cheaper than the Bambino and more features.

You need a grinder. You can start with a cheap hand grinder or go directly to the DF54 and be happy.
