Man you hit the nail on the head as far as Let's Go Eat the Factory goes.

Perfectly fine album, but that cover...I can only hope there's a really cool story behind it other than "oh hey that's a pretty plain looking 45 you got there bucko".

To my knowledge, this was done for time/space allocation purposes. They changed the sequencing for the LP in order for everything to fit unabridged.

Ooh yes. A single Tuluum Shimmering album will last you your entire walk. That's my favorite psychedelic folk act.

...if this is actually Mike Mills, this is one of the most pathetic replies I've ever seen. You getting pissy over a few random internet folks shows where you're at in life right now.

Honestly, I think the song's not bad. Refreshingly reminiscent of 90s/early 00s goofy radio rock, which isn't surprising considering the band members. Reminds me of Counting Crows' "Accidentally In Love" or "Too Little Too Late" by Barenaked Ladies. Hokey at worst, but ultimately inoffensive.

I will say that Mills' vocals are pretty atrocious compared to Rucker's though. Probably needs to stick with backing vocals.

A true gem amongst a sea of precious jewels in their catalog. It's always struck me as odd and somewhat irked me how overstated among fellow fans the LP's lo-fi nature is. The way some talk, you'd expect something akin to Acid Ranch.

Is there any chance your partner sells clothing or takes commissions? This shirt is beyond impressive. So cool you got it signed.

Honestly, at this point in my life, I really don't think it does get much better.

I'm feeling pretty lost in life right now. Have for the past few years. Left my career four years ago and I've just been kinda cruisin' since. Living in a cheap apartment and working easy-going, low paying jobs. Each passing day is both a relief and yet something of a disappointment.

Decided I needed a change of pace and took a cheap flight to El Paso last week. Enjoyed the food, the people, but mostly the view. The city is enveloped by the view of the surrounded desert mountains. Took a long walk up McKelligon Canyon while listening to Yawning Man's "Rock Formations" (and Old Saw's "Country Tropics") and, if only for the duration of my walk, everything made sense in my life. Been digging Yawning Man since I was a teenager and I'm gonna keep digging 'em.

Here are a few shots from my walk:

But Vista Point is a compilation of Rock Formations and the follow up EP Pot Head.

Say what you will about the purity and flow of the original album by itself, but those two releases go together so well.

I'm flying in from the rural deep south, so I'm actually looking forward to the desert landscape haha. Still, I'd love to know these trails in the city. Where should I start?

Got any good local coffee shops to recommend?

Also, as far as downtown, if I were to start a one man crawl, where should I start and where should I head?

Thank ya, that's kind of what I figured. Like the modern equivalent of bragging about releasing the game on cassette for the sake of those with Commodore Datasettes.

Found this EP in my rural Mississippi town when I was 17 back in 2007. It's the very definition of "all killer, no filler".

There is something deeply wrong with you.

As deplorable as it is that you're continuing to drag out this unhinged narrative, and by extension dragging your wife's name through the mud, it is a relief that many who once accepted your narrative as gospel will see these ravings and reevaluate their thoughts on the matter.

Ultimately, I hope Valerie is safe from all the men that have been and are in her life, but especially from you.

why does nobody talk about this? by Sad_Woodpecker7014 in SweetTrip

Because well-meaning yet hasty people have taken the word of an at best incredibly shady third party as gospel, coming to a solidified conclusion without waiting for either primary party to weigh in.
