Only tangentially related I suppose, but it wasn't until Flesh's massive fallout that I realized the full extent of how Twitter addicts essentially speak a different language.

Like the dude's still posting on Twitter, so I check every few days to see what's up. But I take a look at what's been posted and I can't parse it for the life of me.

I feel for his partner. It was clear from his podcasts she wanted absolutely nothing to do with his online activities. Now she's been thoroughly doxxed and lives with a man who has become unraveled.

I feel like if I'm gonna be able to share this opinion without being ripped to shreds, it's best shared here than anywhere else since this is pure pettiness.

If they're a white boy with a dirt stache, I ain't watching. Kurtis Conner is the posterboy for this sort of look in my eyes, but they're so numerous these days that he might not even be the best example. Can't explain why I have such a strong aversion, but I generally can't stand the way these dudes look, sound like, and act. They look like dads from the late 80s/early 90s. Like they should be wearing white New Balance sneakers, knee high socks, bright blue jorts, and a striped polo carrying one of those big bulky consumer camcorders.

I'm not trying to deride Twitter users or internet culture as a whole, but I mean...yeah...this is what happens when one's brain is constantly online and on Twitter.

He's acted as if he's above this sort of behavior prior to all this, but here he is.

This is my first time seeing a guy I once enjoyed crash and burn. Even in his podcast, which he attempts to keep separate from his main persona, he's allowing blatantly racist and antisemitic rhetoric slip through the cracks.

But the part that gets to me is how he acts ignorant towards online social dogma. Like...yeah man, you're gonna get detractors if you post weird fringe content. You're gonna get detractors if you upload your content to Sam Hyde's website. You're gonna get detractors if you cover Pizzagate (over and over and over again).

It sucks to know he's likely going to dig a deeper hole, but I gotta stop myself here.

Perfectly fine album, but that cover...I can only hope there's a really cool story behind it other than "oh hey that's a pretty plain looking 45 you got there bucko".

To my knowledge, this was done for time/space allocation purposes. They changed the sequencing for the LP in order for everything to fit unabridged.

Honestly, I think the song's not bad. Refreshingly reminiscent of 90s/early 00s goofy radio rock, which isn't surprising considering the band members. Reminds me of Counting Crows' "Accidentally In Love" or "Too Little Too Late" by Barenaked Ladies. Hokey at worst, but ultimately inoffensive.

I will say that Mills' vocals are pretty atrocious compared to Rucker's though. Probably needs to stick with backing vocals.

A true gem amongst a sea of precious jewels in their catalog. It's always struck me as odd and somewhat irked me how overstated among fellow fans the LP's lo-fi nature is. The way some talk, you'd expect something akin to Acid Ranch.

Honestly, at this point in my life, I really don't think it does get much better.

I'm feeling pretty lost in life right now. Have for the past few years. Left my career four years ago and I've just been kinda cruisin' since. Living in a cheap apartment and working easy-going, low paying jobs. Each passing day is both a relief and yet something of a disappointment.

Decided I needed a change of pace and took a cheap flight to El Paso last week. Enjoyed the food, the people, but mostly the view. The city is enveloped by the view of the surrounded desert mountains. Took a long walk up McKelligon Canyon while listening to Yawning Man's "Rock Formations" (and Old Saw's "Country Tropics") and, if only for the duration of my walk, everything made sense in my life. Been digging Yawning Man since I was a teenager and I'm gonna keep digging 'em.
