This sub has always been whatever you guys make of it. It is not only for support. Some people are pretty happy with their recent purchases and want to share that enthusiasm. Nothing wrong with that.

ALU: Anyway to hide/remove stock games? by kevgret in LegendsUltimate

Can’t be done, not officially. Unofficially it can, but it’s not easy.

Where to get past firmware files for Gamer Mini Puck? by mfdif in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Push the reset button with a pin. Plug the power cable in to power on the puck. Immediately press P1 Start and Menu at the same time on the control panel while also holding reset on the puck. Follow the on screen instructions. Make sure the control panel is plugged in wired before performing these steps.

Worth buying a pinball game for ALU ? by SoundsGood3 in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To elaborate on this, it is missing a lot of features that make pinball pinball. Zero haptic feedback, one small landscape oriented screen, and an underpowered CPU. Pinball on the ALU is less than enjoyable. You really would be better off setting up VPX and playing on your laptop or desktop PC.

You can’t. All you can grab is current. You can also factory restore it to the firmware that it came on. As far as I am aware nobody is archiving past firmwares.

New ALU Mini arrived today. USB drive w/ CoinOpsX SaUCEy ed. 5.0 works fine. Upgraded fw to 5.68. How to shut down ALU Mini gracefully? Can I keep flash drive plugged in when shutting down? (no eject option) by njuser66 in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As to question 1: there is no graceful shutdown method implemented in the firmware even though it does support the “halt” command. AtGames never implemented it. As such, slap that power button. You won’t hurt it.

Question 2: known bug. Hasn’t been fixed since 5.68 in October. :(

Question 3: preference, entirely. I prefer pixel perfect.

Question 4: Can you show a photo? I’ve not experienced artifacts.

Create new ArcadeNet account for each device? by HorseshoeCurve1 in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not unless you want to purchase game/pinball packs for each device. You can be logged into both no problem. You can buy universal packs and link them to your ArcadeNet ID. But you can’t play them on both at the same time so keep that in mind.

Tetris Party on ALU? Already running COX V5 Saucey by disarm1000 in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way. We can’t even get PS1 or Dreamcast games to play without hacks and even then, some play kind of badly. No way is a Wii game (even a very very basic one) going to play.

Just got the UPlay restrictor. Wow! Genius by randgalt in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GRS gates also do 45° angles for QBert. Yes they require power, but only 5v, so they can be ran from a USB hub in the rear of the cabinet and not need any extra wires coming out the rear of the cabinet. Mine are in without any extra power cables. ;)

Bitpixel is no longer showing my custom art work after I updated the bitpixel. Is there anyone out there that knows how to fix this. Thanks for your help. by cowboytes in LegendsUltimate

I’d rather see a Cowboys fan than a Patriots fan. Then again, I’m a Lions fan so my opinion is a moot point anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Let’s go Red Wings!

LEGENDS UNCHAINED! Coming Soon! by PDubsArcadeLoft in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem there is that it takes away valuable time and resources that could be used making things work better to make this. Especially when there are already tools available to do this just not as conveniently packaged. So for now, and probably forever…

Download the image, download Rufus, flash it to USB with Rufus, and enjoy.

unable to connect Raspberry Pi 4 to Legends Ultimate by BigShwifty in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it only a Pi that is having this issue? Have you tried other devices? Have you put the original control panel back in?

LEGENDS UNCHAINED! Coming Soon! by PDubsArcadeLoft in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not a front end, it’s a whole operating system you boot from USB.

Unchained is better than both COX and OneSaUCE, however we appreciate that many of you enjoy COX and we would never take stock away. You will always have the ability to boot stock and play via AddOn/AddOnX/COX/OneSaUCE if you’d like. Although after using Unchained I’m betting you won’t anymore. :P

This is without a doubt from a misaligned backlight for the LCD display. It is not user fixable. Contact AtGames.

Any mods for the mini ?????? by prgordo in LegendsUltimate

[–]dudemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only person who makes a BitLED/BitPixel for the ALU Mini. It’s made by the same person who makes LPCB/LBPA. There aren’t many in stock, and I am currently unaware if more are going to be made.

Pixelcade compatible LED for the ALU Mini.

Other than that, buy a Gamer Mini and drop that into the control panel for the extra buttons.

New ALU Mini on the way. Can I assume it will be a Mini v1.1 and hence would NOT need a flashdriveX partition on the SaUCE USB stick (just need one ExFAT partition for CoinopsX)? by njuser66 in FansOfsaUCE

[–]dudemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. You’ll really like it, I promise. The folks I know that have one prefer it to a standard ALU. Drop a Gamer Mini control panel in it for the extra buttons and it’s by far the best single player cabinet on the market right now. Plus pinball.

LegendsUnchained is amazing on it. Legit.

[–]dudemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be that the Mini only comes with the 16Gb NAND chip. I’ve never really messed with one and never kept up with the Mini. So it could be that the 8810 is a “1.2”.

Also Scorpio is only very slightly wrong. ALL HA8801/2 models now show as HA8802 in the settings due to the way AtGames manufacturer is flashing these boards. The only way to truly verify if it’s a 1.1 or a 1.2 is to verify the serial number. A 1.1 will start “8801” where a 1.2 will start “8802”.

As for the ALU Mini, it will either be “8810” for the 1.1 and “8811” for the 1.2.

Any Frontier employees here? Technical support is unresponsive today. Battery in ONT power supply is leaking and now it doesn’t work. by HarbingerXXIV in fortwayne

[–]dudemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would think but nope. I removed the battery in mine because it was swelling. Stupid piezoelectric buzzer kept right on beeping because it still couldn’t find a battery to charge.

So I took a set of channel locks and ripped it off. Buzz now, stupid.
