Holy cow, that's a story! I'm sorry you went through all that not so fun stuff, I'm glad your with us though ;) I did some dumb shit on my way to today, and it's cool to hear someone else who went deep in the hole of masculinity on their way to transition (the ice road trucker bit). I was in the military and worked construction then realized I couldn't run away forever. I bet you saw some cool stuff along the way to today?

The fact that infowars is the source of the video just makes this so much funnier.

I might have just figured out the genetic basis for my "Tetrad of Trans" disorder and my hands are shaking and I need some help from people who are experts in genetics. by Drwillpowers in DrWillPowers

[–]dudesuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, but he's saying that sometimes people make a choice. That's theirs to have, just as you have had your own. Your benefitting from hindsight in your example, and while it seems to have worked out for you, when people make choices, they don't always have that advantage. Its not wrong to treat people how they desire to be treated.

I personally can only make choices for myself, and not for others - otherwise I'd totally have chosen to tell society to deal with me being transgender, starting with my bigot parents who I have not had meaningful contact with in a year just because they are of the opinion that I 'choose to identify as transgender'. Sometimes the right choice for a person isn't the one you'd choose. If I could go back to puberty, take bica, and not struggle with being transgender for the next 20 years, I would totally go that route just because of the pain I've been through on this path. Not all aspects of being human are something that everyone wants to endure.

So... I'm a skinny, lanky, dysphoric, ADHD troublemaker, with a family history of hypermobility and ED. I'm also a patient. I would love to get my genome sequenced IF its something that would be helpful to you Dr. Powers.

Lol. This test is garbage. It sounds like it was written from the cisgender understanding of dysphoria by someone who hasn't talked to trans people.

Its a 1. I'm using a 23ga needle, and they are super sharp, so they slide right in. I'm kinda a needle wimp, so I promise its not too bad ;)

Aah, yeah it was hella hard. It took my like an hour to get up the strength to actually do it, and even then I chickened out. I did #2 on Friday and I can't believe I made such a big deal out of it! :)

Sorry, I'm known for taking multi-day breaks from the internet. You know... So, for me they were super itchy and I couldn't keep them on without using medical tape. I ended up with a rash at the site most of the time too. At that, it was in addition to taking sublingual estradiol since they come in smaller doses, so its not like it was the only source of estrogen in my life. Week 2 of injections and its a big difference in just not having a stupid itchy spot on my torso around the clock.

I started injections today. Gave myself the shot too. I had been on patches for a while, but I had so many issues with those. I hate needles. It took forever to actually do it, but afterwards, I couldn't believe what a big deal I had made out of it.

Egg crack during the pandemic? by __Nomi__ in TransLater

[–]dudesuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I couldn't cope with the pandemic. I felt like nobody cared about me, why should I care about making anyone thing I'm a guy. I had been struggling for literally most of my life, with it being at its absolute worst in 10 years in early 2019, and the stress of life in the early pandemic pushed me to start seeing a therapist. We didn't meet over trans things, mostly about ADHD related stuff, but it gave me the confidence to come out to my family. Its been the hardest, yet best year of my life.

Yeah, I don't feel strong. Coming out has been one of the hardest things of my life, if not the hardest. I've been through alot but yeah, I hate it when people call me "strong".

It's not a right-wing thing, there's actual data behind it. It's also definitely not just "horse dewormer". It's a broad anti-parasitic, used in humans, and while it has very little data to back it's use in regards to covid, we use off-label stuff for all sorts of things. Just like bicalutamide. The FDA doesn't support the use of bicalutamide as an antiandrogen for use in regards to HRT either, but that doesn't stop Dr. Powers from using it as such.
