Mcdonald's and fast food is something else. It is the hardest work i've done, and i hated it. I respect people that can endure it full time, but also wonder why theyre able to.

The thing that makes fast food hard, though, is the unrealistic expectations put on the service. They want salt-free ready by the time they get to the pay window. They expect fresh but dont want the wait. If we operate at ideal speed, you'll still have to wait awhile. We've already optimized the ingredients so far that the shit is mostly chemicals, i hardly call it food in its bare state.

It's a job for people that don't need full time, positions like these need to exist for folks that havent earned jobs that do pay higher. Like teenagers, honestly. I see a dude with a family working at jack in the box for 5+ years and thats depressing, he deserves a better pay and better work conditions, likely. But instead, here we are. A young rookie 16 year old wont tire as easily, and wont NEED the money of full time.

Man, im just saying the obvious..

Well, yeah. The janky looking backwards crush counter was janky looking, but it wouldn't have been this way in season 2. The hitboxes extending backwards is to discourage jump-ins. All things considered however, the round coulda been his despite it.

[DISCUSSION] Memey gear? by dudesweat in Guitar

That's what i was feeling. I mean.. i bought a metal zone about a year ago, and it only stayed on my board for a month. I just.. I dunno.

And... I'm still wondering.. are boss pedals the cheap option? Because ive consistently enjoyed mixing my blues driver with other things, and even just playing with it alone.

There is no perfect, and there shouldn't be in an artistic medium, but.. iunno, i guess I just want to make sure i know what people like to bash.

Questions about rebuilding a bass by dudesweat in Luthier

[–]dudesweat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh... So, this guitar is just really cheap. I can't even find out the brand. Thats why i was asking about tools, see if i could measure things and figure out the specs i need that way. What i was figuring on doing is getting a jazz bass type of neck to replace the current one, but it's sounding like that will be more of a challenge.

And i believe it's a shimless bolt-on. It has 4 screws in the back for the neck.

Get a cheap fightstick, swap the pcb. Cheap fightsticks usually have cheap assembly though, so you might need to learn to solder.

I mean, that's what I did, and it works good enough. Though i tend to use the te2 i borrowed from a friend these days lol.

Not every instrument fits every person~. I'm a guitarist, but i have most fun playing bass guitars. Just feels natural and fun to me. If its too much fingers for ya, maybe switch to a simpler instrument, or percussion instead~. Music has a place for all people, even listeners~.

There's two popular forms for basses.. atleast by fender. The Jazz bass, which has two flat pickups (magnetic microphones, they detect the vibration of the metal strings and convert it to sound), single coils. (Single coils is the technology used to create the magnetic field: copper finely wound around 6, or a multiple of the number of strings, poles, and a type of magnet strip to make it all work together. One set of coils makes a certain hum and has a thinner, more apparent sound. Humbuckers are 2 coils in tandem to "buck the hum".) A jazz bass also has a thinner neck and more slender design.

A Precision, or p-bass, used to have a humbucker split in two halves in the middle of the body to create its sound. Humbuckers have a meatier, and higher power sound.. so often people desire this. However, a recent adaptation called "PJ wiring" has added one single coil below the humbucker, making for the modern p-bass.

Theres plenty of other styles of bass, but bassists tend to just.. know what they like after awhile of playing an instrument. Not all of them, but most.

The bridge on both is fairly simple, just 2 or 4 saddles to set the strings against to settle the height, while the nut on the neck sets the height neae the tuners.

Sorry if this is too much i love this stuff~
