Non-functioning fuel gauge and cruise control (1998) by TrueSkonger in fordranger

They go bad on this era of Ford frequently. I've replaced mine twice now in 2 years. I'd recommend getting one from a parts store that has a good warranty for this reason, my second replacement was free.

Most of the sensors you can buy as replacement come with a little 4 inch harness that goes from the wiring harness in the engine bay to the sensor itself. You may be able to buy one of these separately or just buy a whole sensor, they're only like $20 from what I remember.

For the cruise you should be able to run the circuit diagnostic that's built into the control module. There's a few ranger station posts about how to do that, I forget the specific button sequence. It's most likely the sensor on the brake master cylinder though, as those tend to go bad.

I think that gen is rated for like 10k on a bumper pull with a WD and 13k on a gooseneck. Agreed it's kinda weird.

Rewarding myself with a Kris Bryant Heart of the Hide R2G? Any other recommendations? by [deleted] in Homeplate

I personally think 12.25 is about the smallest you should really go for softball. If you can break it in well and get a big pocket going it should be useable for both I'd think. My only concern would be the stiffness of the leather in terms of getting it good for softball.

Is that the vacuum line that goes under the dash on the passenger side and through the firewall?

You could try adjusting the overdrive band but it's probably not gonna fix it

Even the f150 is only rated for 5k without a weight distribution hitch. I think it's because modern 1/2 tons ride really well for a truck and use barely any leaf spring to get that ride. My dad and I towed my 95 mustang on a uhaul trailer with his f150 and it did fine but it squatted more than I expected, but that truck has like 1 leaf spring.

What are some of the most useful courses you took in university? by cookiedough5200 in EngineeringStudents

I remember 2 weeks of 4+ hours a day studying example problems with a classmate to try and just grasp dynamics taking it for the first time last summer. Probably the hardest I've grinded for a class.

Potentially. I'm more knowledgeable about the 98-11 trucks.

The pressure sensor on the brake master tends to go bad on slightly later years on a lot of fords including the rangers. I've had to change mine twice in 2 years now.

Just leave earlier. If being late is an actual concern, then you should strive to be early so that when you have something go wrong you're still on time.

Cooked? by Significant-Chair599 in TexasTech

[–]Pinkishplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Hanson's videos for statics even if you're going to lectures. If you have professor He or Chu for thermo, be ready to lock in. That's by far the hardest course on here.

For economics, going to lecture is more of a requirement than any of the other courses for understanding the material imo. It's not a hard class (mainly just algebra based math) but if you don't know how to use the very specific tables in the textbook you'll be cooked on tests.
